White Butterfly Cafe

Very rude and unprofessional staff. The management here is a bunch of greedy people who cut corners on all their products to save money without keeping their customers in mind. The quality of food here is very low, I would bet that all the food comes frozen and probably already prepared. Would not recommend this place.

Ok, here’s the deal, last week my wife went into the White Butterfly gift shop and pick out items that she would like to have for Valentine’s Day. I went there this morning paid for the items on her wish list (which they had put away for me) and they wrapped them beautifully and on my way I went. I have been doing this now for three years (xmas, birthday, Valentine’s Day etc) and I don’t have to go to the mall running from store to store buying something that my wife is guaranteed to return. White Butterfly has every type a gift your favorite lady would love to have. Try it, you’ll like it

Been meaning to go to the café for a while & glad we finally did. We went for breakfast on Saturday morning. Atmosphere is absolutely charming. Breakfast quesadilla & croissant sandwich were great. Hostess & waitress were both friendly & attentive. I heard mixed reviews about the food, but what we experienced was great & we Look forward to trying lunch & dinner here. The lights & firepits will certainly add to the already cozy atmosphere. Very unique place… especially for Jackson!

The food was absolutely amazing. This is officially my favorite place. I ordered the Cupid and it was so delicious. I would definitely recommend the food here.

The food was good, service was friendly; but the wait time for the food to come out was Poor. We waited an hour for the meal to come out. We’ll still recommend it because it was a nice atmosphere & good overall lunch date.

Calm and peaceful. Outdoor seating. Easy to forget you’re off the highway. Lots of patio furnature. Sometimes the service/​food is slow. Ambiance is the main reason to eat here.

I have not been to the white butterfly in a few months and today I stopped by for a latte. I was so disappointed it was nothing like the lattes I had there months back. The first one was so bitter I couldn’t drink it. The gentleman made me a second one which wasn’t much better. When I took the lid off the milk was curtled. It was $ 5 and I threw the whole thing out.
I hope this was just a bad day at the white butterfly because Jackson needs gourmet coffee. Dunkin donuts doesn’t cut it.
I also suggest that a 16 oz latte come with 2 shots of expresso not 1. I had to pay extra for a second shot.

I don’t know how they got these other 5 star reviews, but clearly we must be from different planets — no, make that universes.
The food is so amateurishly prepared that one has to wonder how they have the nerve to charge for this. It makes me wonder if they taste their own preparations. They should stick to boutiques and not venture into the culinary realm.
Ordered the roasted red pepper soup that was the consistency of library paste and probably was. The color was a scary day glow orange color. It came with Italian bread that had to be a few days old. When I asked the waitress for fresh bread, she said «no problem. I ‘ll have them cut some more». Well, you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what she bought out next: more of the same stale bread. I was just not in the mood to argue, so I discarded it. But it shows a lack of caring, integrity, or whatever you want to call it.
Next came the“crepes”, as they refer to them. Three odd sized rolled up pieces of dough (too thick to be even remotely considered «crepes») that were on the verge of falling apart. There were three to an order, and I selected three different fillings. The mash in each was practically indistinguishable from the others. I didn’t eat them all because they had a disgusting cloying after taste.
I am not joking when I tell you that I had to stop at a pizzeria to get a slice in order to get the taste out of my mouth.
If there were a taste police, it should be illegal to charge for this crap.

Very convenient, atmosphere whisks you to a small street side café in Europe. Seating, lighting, music and fire pits are very relaxing. Staff very eager to please. The hours are very convenient.

What a great place to relax and nibble something tasty! I had «The Jackson» for lunch– chicken, roasted red pepper and mozzarella– a favorite! But I will have to come back mid afternoon for a cup of coffee and one of the delicious looking desserts, or in the evening to sit by the brazier and enjoy the fire.
Not many places like this in Ocean County– so glad they opened up.

Ok so went back to give the food a try and so glad I did! The food was delicious, the atmosphere is so nice and the service is super friendly! I had the caprese sandwich and shrimp corn chowder… so yummy! Fresh ingredients all the way! Then had to try the dessert… coppa stracc (can’t spell it) chocolate chip gelato with chocolate syrup with cocoa powder and hazelnuts on top. Omgosh so decadent! My little lady had Mac n cheese wedges which were very good as well! Wish they had fruit instead of chips for kids side though.
The only two negatives are the parking (need more spots) and the food takes a while but I think it is definitely worth it… so be ready to chill in the beautiful weather for a bit!
