As a local, I love this place, the food is usually on point and I recommend it to everyone. However, last Friday we had a not so great experience. We ordered the wings, meatballs, pizza, and Stromboli. Wings and pizza were great! Meatballs never showed up and when the Stromboli came, it was doughy in the center and the cheese had not melted. Management quickly tried to correct the situation but our second Stromboli was also raw. At this point we were done. They are usually so on point here and I was shocked at the results. I hope they can resolve the issue.

First time here, and will definitely be back. Friendly staff, great pizza. We had the 4 cheese minus the Gorgonzola, with onions, mushrooms, and sliced tomatoes. Super yum.

The pizza is good but the wings are fire, the Top 3 ever had anywhere. I would eat these wings a few times a Week.

I was very excited about this pizza place. I heard great things about it. My husband used to live in NYC and loves pizza. My nephew and father were in town, and I thought that we could try V Pizza. I wanted to impress them and thought that this would be a good place for the guys. I was extremely disappointed. The pizza was good, but not great(as I expected). We ordered Pizza Salsiccia and Margherita. I would recommend Joseph’s, Al’ Pizza, or Mellow Mushroom over V Pizza. The Calabrian wings were wonderful. The guys loved them. I ordered the Napoletana Salad. It was okay, but it was pre made in a plastic container, like something that you would buy at the grocery store. Based on the food alone, I would have given 3 stars, but I gave 2 based on the presentation versus price. Everything is self-service. There is a roll of paper towels on the table that serves as your napkins. The wine glasses are plastic. However, the prices reflect something nicer. My review probably would have been higher had I went to Flask and Cannon for drinks and then decided to have pizza, because it would have been a pleasant surprise. However, I went solely because of the great things that I heard about V Pizza, and no one in my party left impressed.

This is one of my favorite places to eat pizza and I have yet to have a experience that was anything less than perfectly made pizza. The staff is always friendly and helpful and it is just a few minutes walk from the beach. They also serve some incredible gelato and also in the restaurant is Flask and Canon a great place to get a craft cocktail. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Great location on the beach, plenty of parking, and close to the pier. Started off with Calabrian Chicken Wings the spicier of the 2 offered and they were worth it. For the pizza we got the Carnivora and definitely worth it if you like a lot of meat! Wife got the Delle Donne(chicken, spinach, and garlic) and liked it but I wasn’t a fan. A little pricey but well worth it.

Nice pizza spot at the beach, great location across from the pier. The pizza is hot fresh and pretty fast to the table.

First time experience here and have heard good things. I would say the pizza is a solid B+. I had the spicy sausage pizza and it was quality. Cool atmosphere and okay cocktails. Not too shabby and will definitely come again to try other pizzas.

Owner was great. Accept military discounts and food was great. Me and my partner bought a bottle of wine and had a blast!

There are some pretty good pizza places in Jacksonville. I would say V pizza is the best but out of personal preference because I love the way they do the pizzas with a more Italian and authentic style with the ovens and ingredients. The crust is superb, and the ingredients, options and flavors are all delicious. We had the Mediterranean special and the Napoli. Loved the eggplant chunks on the Napoli that they don’t cut them down and fry them like most other pizza places. My only negative is the prices are a bit high but it is indeed quality and I will not knock down a star over that. Outside of this my favorite pizza joint is pizza time in St Augustine.

This place was very close to my hotel and right on the beach, perfect for the traveler. the place is huge and had pretty cool atmosphere; very artesian. The pizza was simply phenomenal. My wife and I shared a 13″ bolognese and it couldn’t have been tastier. Definitely a five star pizza. The reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because the staff was not very friendly or welcoming. I had to work to get their attention and it just seemed like they didn’t really care if we were there or not. Like we were putting them out to serve us. But other than that, this place was great and I would definitely visit again!

Fantastic piZza that’s as tasty as it is authentic. Some ingredients are flown in from Italy(!!) and they have beautiful Italian ovens to get the pizza perfectly crisp and gooey in a matter of seconds. prosciutto is a personal favorite topping but their margarita is also dope. Can’t really go wrong. Another favorite are their WINGS. With sautéed onions on top of amazingly saucey Wings char-broiled in those same pizza ovens — holy moly! Go here!

My friend said the mens bathroom had pee on the floor, paper towels were overflowing & looked like nobody had cleaned the mirror in 5months. It was just nasty. It wasn’t busy and there were plenty of staff just hanging around. I am glad he told me after we ate the food. We got both sets of wings that were juicy & meaty. The ranch & blue cheese dressing was gross tasted store bought. The pizza was pretty good. It was fresh & I liked the crust it wasn’t greasy. The chicken caesar salad was nothing impressive. I don’t know if I would go back based on the bathroom though. There is no reason for that but pure laziness.

One of my new favorite pizza joints! The Pizza Paolo was a great choice to taste what this joint has to offer. It reminded me of the pizza we had in Italy during our honeymoon. All the ingredients were, or at least, tasted fresh. The prosciutto was legit. We couldn’t leave without trying the desserts. Since I couldn’t decide on one, I picked two, well, actually 3: Tiramisu and Gelato(scoop of chocolate hazelnut and scoop of sea-salted caramel) Deliciousnesssssssss!!! The restaurant is connected to Flask & Cannon so you can roam between the two and sit on either side with your food and drinks. You do have to order your food and pay first at the register, which is located on the left when you walk in. They give you a number and deliver your food to your self-seated table. On the restaurant side, there are several picnic tables and high tables, as well as a table seating flanked at the window. There are two big wood burning ovens. I can’t wait to go back here again!

I enjoyed my lunch here the other day. I ordered a small mushroom pizza with a small side salad and a drink. I sat at the the counter overlooking 1st street. The pizza was very good, you do need to eat it with a fork and knife though because of the style of pizza. I would return! They also have a wonderful looking dessert case.

Positioned in prime real-estate on the beach strip, V Pizza conquers the quest for excellent Napolean pizza with outstanding ingredients, product, drinks, atmosphere and prices. Ordered was the carnivore pizza and a meatball sandwich. The pizza was fantastic. Exactly what you want and by far the best pizza being served in Jacksonville. Even better than the Napoleans at Eataly in Manhattan. The ingredients shine here– it is clear the owners are sourcing incredibly well. The meatball sandwich? Simply the best version I have ever had– my buddy called it transcendent. And he’s not even Buddhist. Perfectly seasoned, succulent meatballs made better by the incredible homemade bread their layered into. Get it. The bar is fantastic– I recommend sitting in that area– drinks are surprisingly unique and strong. The zombie was kicking my ass. Overall– simply excellent. Go.

I’d been watching the reviews for V’s for quite some time… and it seemed waiting a bit and my own timing turned out to be just right… The experience we had was fantastic! While chatting with a group of friend in Flask and Cannon and enjoying our cocktails, we knew we would be needing some dinner soon, so we ordered up a Pizza Picante: pepperoni, sausage, san marzano tomato, fresh mozzarella, and calabrian chili paste. If you are one of those folks that never bypasses the red pepper flakes on your pizza, this one is for you! Perfect crust and tangy sauce, gooey fresh moz and a kick. YUM. Spicy(but not overly spicy) and delicious. There was no to go box needed, because we devoured that sucker! I love that the two places are connected, so you really can have the best of both worlds. Service was great, our pizza came out in a timely manner, and we were taken care of during this happiest of hour, with a little cocktail buzzes and full bellies.(Disclaimer: I actually didn’t head over to the V Pizza side, we stayed at our communal table in F&C and the pizza came to us.) Without a doubt will be back.

I’m a massive fan of V Pizza. Just go look at the photos: it’s brick-oven pizza with fresh-as-possible ingredients(San Marzano tomatoes! Cheese imported weekly!) and it’s wonderful. Since it’s come up in other reviews: the wait times seem to be all over the place. I’ve been here for lunch with a group where it took 20 – 30 minutes for everyone to be served, but I took my family here on Sunday night, and our two pizzas arrived insanely fast — 5 – 10 minutes max. Since the pizzas cook for(according to the Pizza Manifesto Thing on the table) 60 – 90 seconds in a 905º(seriously) oven, any holdup is really only on the prep side of things. I imagine the service will only get better as the pizza assembly line gets settled in. The only other thing I’d say is be aware that their wings only come in one flavor at the moment — a rosemary-heavy herb mix piled with caramelized onions. They’re good, but probably polarizing — I’d bet there are a fair amount of people expecting something a little more straightforward. I bet if V would offer a couple of other wing options(parmesan garlic! chili paste!) they’d sell like crazy, but who knows, maybe that’s the point. In any case, this is the best pizza in town. Get to it.

Ooey gooey glutenous goodness! That describes my experience at V Pizza. They popped up on my radar a few days ago when I heard their beach location was opening. Had a chance to stop by for dinner & check out the new space. The space is huge — plenty of room no matter what size your party may be. Most of the seating is high top tables, but there are a sprinkling of lower tables for those that may be a little vertically challenged. Not quite sure if they’ve settled on their final hours yet; couldn’t find anything posted. However, they do have lunch specials from 11 – 3; and then they’re also open until 2AM as they have pizza available by the slice after 1AM. Haven’t been able to confirm days as of yet, but will update as soon as figured out. On to the main event: Pizza! When we walked in the Pizza Bolognese caught my attention. After placing our order at the counter, we found a spot to sit and wait for our food. The pizza came out fast — and not just because they’re weren’t very many customers. With two super hot pizza ovens, it’s a quick turnaround once they start your order. Neapolitan pizza isn’t for everyone, but if you like a charred(not burnt) crust with a soft gooey center, it’s delicious. All the ingredients tasted super fresh and the cheese was perfectly stringy with every bite. The average price per pizza is slightly higher than what Beach folk are used to, but for pizza this good, it’s worth it. My husband and I were totally satisfied with our shared pizza and went home full, but not stuffed.
