Whit’s Frozen Custard

Very good custard just like North Carolina has! Very reasonable! A small is actually more like a medium. I could not finish all of my snickers mixed with vanilla. Awesome place, very small can’t sit in the place, but there is outside seating! I will be visiting soon!

I am obsessed with Whit’s! I try their flavor of the day every time I’m there, but I cannot get better than the vanilla. I get it every time and I absolutely love it. The people who work at this location are always nice and helpful. Can’t recommend Whits product enough!

Amazing custard! It was absolutely delicious Even more so, the staff were really amazing. So patient with us, since we were visiting and had no idea what to get. Perfect that it’s close to the beach. Even more perfect that you can take some home from the freezer! New flavors are created daily, but if you missed a flavor, you can grab a pint from the chiller! Love it!

I am obsessed with Whit’s! It’s soooo good. Everyday they have a different flavor and a huge calendar on the wall so that you know each flavor for every day of the month. They give away free samples of the daily flavor too.
If you don’t want the flavor of the day, they have a lot of other options too. My favorite is one of their blended treats called Beach Madness — it’s the vanilla custard with Reese peanut butter cups, chocolate syrup, and peanut butter — it’s blended to perfect and served in a cup. I always get the size mini for $ 4.50 and it’s plenty!
I can beat describe Whit’s blended treats as a gourmet Blizzard.
The service is always super friendly and fast! And they have a big freezer section with pints of the popular daily custards. I keep saying I’m going to buy one to take home but I know I would just eat it in one sitting!
If you haven’t been, you need to go to Whit’s and go soon. You’ll get hooked immediately, I can promise you that. The first time I went, my husband and I went back the very next day!

1^st visit was amazing 2^nd visit was ok really disappointed bought 3 quartz of custard 2 of the containers were mark with the wrong name on them. Wanted lemon ended up with vanilla. Go back to the store the manager that was on was horrible I tell him what happened give me a $ 5 coupon I go to get another quart of lemon ice cream again it was vanilla I tasted it right in front of the manager. We just ended up buying two scoops of ice cream the manager took my $ 5 coupon and charged me the rest of the ice cream price which was an extra $ 2.70. You need to hire professional managers I’m really embarrassed for your store

I like this location on beach blvd. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. The employees are really friendly and the custard is delicious! I prefer the traditional flavors, but there are a lot of options available if you are into that. I would return!

Amazing! So delicious. Our family enjoyed the sample of the daily flavor. The blended treats are amazing. Great $ 2.50 kids portion. A family favorite for sure. We love the classic rock music and seating. Super friendly staff!

I have read the reviews and this place has been on my list for a while now. I was cruising down beach blvd and looked the other way this time. Most of the time I look over to a friends office I think. I saw Whit’s and the fat kid in me came out and started a ruckus and around went the truck. I walked inside and it was really nice inside. Cool since it was 95 outside. I talked to the young lady inside and she told me all about the place. She said that they make a new flavor everyday and today was the salted caramel peanut with chocolate chunks. The fat kid was stomping it’s feet at this point. Yes I want that and I want it now. I gave in and a small bucket I walked out with. I sat in the truck for a minute and just had to dig in. It was super flavorful with big chunks of chocolate and pecan nuts. The caramel was ooey gooey and everywhere in the cup. I did really like it and actually some made it back to the house to share with the wife later on. Bravo

There are not many options for dessert in Jax if you’re looking for a non-​chain. And then there is Whit’s. Whit’s is by far, the best ice cream/​custard spot in Jax. Limited flavors, but you cannot substitute quantity for quality. Either location is a sure-​win.
