Ace Hardware

So irritated by Lowe’s stores. I went to purchase a sander on my lunch break and had a question. Since the Tool World was near the employee clock in and out they had to stand right next to me to sign in. I spoke to 4 employees who tried to dodge me and after «I can’t help you let me call someone» (three of those calls) never had anyone show up. The Customer service sucks. Employees could tell I had questions and I stood in the middle isle for THIRTY MINUTES in a full blown suit and heels. Employees were dodging or pretending they didn’t hear me say «excuse me». Disgusting! I left Lowe’s drove to Home Depot. The moment I walked in I was immediately acknowledged. I didn’t ask for help. Walked to the tool area. Someone came to me within 2 minutes again without being prompted. I have a Lowe’s card and closing the account out today. I am making a personal commitment to never deal with Lowe’s again. I can get my 10% military discount anywhere.
Went to Ace hardware down Atlantic. I’m in love! Found my new store to shop!!!

I love this Ace. It’s not really the prices that bring me in — you can find most things cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes. The people are what bring me back in here.
Hardware stores are a little overwhelming if you don’t know what you are looking for. There are 20 types of fertilizer to tend to 10 types of tomatoes that you can plant in one of the hundreds of pots or planters in any large hardware store. It gets out of hand fast. At Ace you have experts on pretty much any of the products in the store who can help you sort through all of the choices, where at Lowes you will be lucky to be directed to the right aisle for something.
As far as selection goes, they have an awesome garden center outside to the left of the store. In addition to all of the plants they have a ton of outdoor furniture — swings, tables, terraces etc. Inside they have a good selection of home improvement things — tools and supplies to do pretty much anything you would want to do.
They also carry a good selection of cool outdoorsy things like Yeti Coolers and Big Green Eggs.

This Store always had great things! The garden center is amazing too. Great staff.

This store is overwhelming if you don’t know what you are looking for but the staff here is very helpful. I also like getting propane refills here.
