First time ever using this company, they fixed the original problem, however in the process created a new one’s the vol controls on my pc won’t working, and the internet button wasn’t working as it was before, within a 2 weeks I had to return it, mentioned the problem with the vol button and the bump in the panel that wasn’t there, Picked up my pc, corrected the problem came up with power switch: however the volume controls are not working, and bumps is still on the control, key board is lose. for the amount of $ I will just buy a new one.

Had Win 7 reinstalled. It was running slow. Computer came back with sleep function not working. Affordable Computer said that it knew and assumed hardware failure. Several calls and best offer was to wipe drive again and reinstall Win 7 at no cost but Affordable Computer still felt it was hardware .I lacked confidence that the problem would be fixed and did not want to have to again reinstall all programs and files. Spent time on Internet and manufactur’s site. The suggested solution was to reinstall video driver. After finding the correct one on manufactur’s site, ran it and fixed problem. Called AC’S owner who thanked me for the update. If I could fix problem with a little computer knowledge, the professional repair place should also have been able do it.

Up front pricing,(which was the price I paid walking out the door) Quick turn around with friendly service. Today I brought them a laptop that wouldn’t connect to the internet. Wow… Im glad I didn’t look at these reviews before I had my custom gaming computer system built and set up by Russell and Charlie at Affordable Computer Repair. I came straight to Unilocal just to praise them for my awesomely fast Über computer and the friendly, quality service they provided. I have written one other review and it wasn’t good. I report extremely bad as well as extremely good customer experiences, and this, is an exceptional one…5/27/2014 — Russell and I spoke at length about what I wanted in a computer and for what it is to be used for, he ordered the parts from the case up, motherboard, CPU, RAM, everything… now, some of you may not know that you cant just throw a bunch of high speed, precision parts into a computer case, flip it on and expect it to work perfectly, nope, not every computer component fits every computer, they have to be compatible, and the parts he ordered SANG! You see, I didn’t just need a fast computer, I’m starting a Twitch/YouTube gaming channel so I not only needed a new computer that hauls tail, I needed my new comp, PS4, Xbox One, my fancy mic, my advanced gaming keyboard and mouse, my BenQ 27″ high performance gaming monitor, and finally, the Elgato Game Capture device, all to work in perfect harmony together, and that is a whole lot of moving parts right there that need to synch, perfectly, or its all just an expensive pile of techno-junk. Here’s where Charlie really impressed me, not only did he build the computer, he only had 24 hrs or less with the Elgato game capture device,(Elgato captures my gameplay and audio and records it no matter what system I’m on, its fairly new technology and difficult to grasp), he researched it well enough that he taught me all about it, used it right in front of me, then marked all my wires and plug-ins with little colored stickers that told me which cords belong to which system and where they go when I switch between them. There was even some things that still needed cords and tweaking so he came back to finish the next day for no extra charge, awesome. I’m not saying there weren’t hiccups, the first week I took the comp back to ACR twice to fix something I couldn’t get to work, turns out it was my lack of computer knowledge, and not the computer, that was at fault. Which brings me to my last MAIN point… Russell and Charlie went the extra mile for me, and then some, as I’m a caveman and know little to nothing about computers, but, they never made me FEEL like I was an idiot, LOL, they were/are always very kind, knowledgeable and patient, taking a LOT of extra time to teach me things in a way that I understood. I’m not sure what happened to the other Unilocalers here and their bad experience, but I know I will be going back to ACR and will be recommending them to anyone who will listen.
