Bealls Department Store

I don’t think I’ve ever stepped into a Bealls Store before. If I did, then I must be really small with I came with my parents. But anways, I came here with my future sister-​in-​law because she wanted to use her coupons and you can only do one coupon per person per day rule. So I came along and also wanted to see what they had. Wow! The layout of the store was very similar to a competitor’s, but much nicer! Now we can here an hour before closing and since it was the holiday hours, they closed at 11pm.
We walked in the store, was greeted and barely anyone at the store because it was late so we had the store to ourselves and a person here and there but that’s about it. The place was clean and good lighting. We walked around the store was able to find some good stuff and deals. We checked out the clearance and they had a Buy 1 Get 1 half off I think for the clearance section. Good clothes and they sell some name brands as well.
We found a small wall of toys and they were 40% the price, which was great with the coupon we have. We grabbed some toy cars and the little jibbitz. There were a good amount and we grabbed different kinds like star wars and disney princesses. Then we double checked the price to see if they are discounted and some were not, so we were a little confused. It’s 5 minutes til closing and we were checking out. As the associate ranged it up, the jibbitz came out full-​price when it should be 40% off. The associate asked the manager who walked by and asked if the jibbitz were 40% off. She looked at them and said no they shouldn’t, but we stated to the manager that was what their wall stated at the toy section. She said she’ll go take a look, but didn’t look too happy to do it. I understand that it was late and you want to go home, but we were the last customer. It’s either get the extra sale today or don’t get it at all, so it’s best to do the best you can before you show your rudeness. The manager walks to the back and rings in the walkie talkie to the associate and states that she couldn’t find the jibbitz and there’s no sign anywhere. We told her that its in the TOYS section many times before she walked back over. She was in the BOYS section… –_​_​_​-​. Ma’am, we repeated and even pointed and told you exactly where they were. But anyways, she found the wall and said that they shouldn’t have been there and someone just stuffed them there. But oh well, it was on the wall with the 40% sign, so this was a mistake on their part (This is the where the Customer is Always Right comes in). The associate went ahead and ranged us with the 40%, we used the coupons, said thanks and left.

Love, love love this location. The staff is extremely friendly and they are always well stocked on tons of clearance and good sales. I also love shopping here during the holidays because they gift wrap all items for free!
Now for some disclaimers, they have massive amount of mark up. Do not shop here without Bealls coupons. However if you shop their sales, and their clearance area you will score some awesomely cheap buys that will get you awesome points with your family.
If you want to get gift wrap done, make sure you go early in the day or later on at night because their line for gift wrapping can get long. Here is how i look at it, It will take me longer to gift wrap at home and ill have to pay for the gift wrap so i choose to stay in line and have them do it for me. Oh and dont forget your gift wrap tags because they dont have any in the store.
They have registers on both the left and right side of the building as well as in the back. I tend to shop here more than i care to admit because they do have cute little knick knacks that my family likes.
If you do not like to shop with coupons and such then i recommend you stay away from here because of the mark up alone. But if your like me and are willing to shop for a good deal then def check this place out! Happy shopping!
