I’ve been shopping at this store for many years. Many times I have said it will be my last. Well the last visit sealed the deal. While there is a broad range of fabrics to choose from, I regularly find the staff to be very off-putting. They jump at the chance to help designers & their clients. When a regular Joe walks in, the cold-shoulder is given immediately. Granted, I am usually walking in wearing gym attire & no makeup. I don’t drive my Range Rover or Lexus SUV there. But I have spent several thousand dollars there over the years, & I have money to spend. I deserve to be treated with kindness & not be ignored. There is only one nice, older sales lady that is always helpful. If she is there, she is my go-to person. The last time I was there a younger saleswoman unhappily helped me after I was there a considerable amount of time. She smirked when I told her the project I was doing & questioned that«all those colors cannot be in the rug». When I came back to return the sample fabric swatches I had checked out, another salesperson helped me return the fabric, even though she was standing right at the front & knew I was there the day before. I wanted to pull the old Pretty Woman line: You work on commission? Big mistake. I don’t have time or energy for this treatment. I will find a new place to shop. I’ve already told several friends to stay away. It’s a shame because it could be such a nice shopping experience with kinder, helpful salespeople.
