*Unarguably, the VERY worst customer service experience EVER. Scheduled a date for carpet installation 3 weeks in advance on our day off — a Friday, but at the appointed time they had not shown up. We called to find out where they were, and STEVE(at the store on Phillips Highway) said he would track them down. He didn’t call back, so we called again. Then, he told us how the order had gotten messed up and not ordered on time and it couldn’t be installed on the scheduled date. In preparation for the carpet installation, our house was completely torn up, computers unplugged(a problem because I frequently work from home), furniture moved, we can barely move in our own house. HE ***KNEW*** THEYWEREN’T COMINGONTHEFIRSTPHONECALLBUTSAIDHEWOULDTRYTOFINDTHEM!!! HELIED!!! Then he said he would try to get it installed Monday, but we work out of town, so he said he would TRY to get them there on Saturday. He called back and said they would be at our house between 9:00 and 10:00 the next morning. No surprise they didn’t show up. We called at 11:00 but he wouldn’t answer. Called from a different phone number — surprise! He answered. Made excuses, put me on hold, THENCUTMEOFF. Why am I not surprised? Tried to call again– he wouldn’t answer. Again. So, I left a message. He finally called back with more excuses and said HEWASGETTINGTIREDOFAPOLOGIZING. Well, we were absolutely exhaused from hearing the empty excuses and apologies! Then he said, they’re on their way, they had just left the warehouse and there’s a BIGCREW so they can get it all done today. «They were running late.» So comforting. 40 minutes later, the installer called to ask our address so he could put it in the GPS. It was 11:40 and they had not even left the warehouse yet. And, oh by the way, STEVE had not given the installers our address. Hmmm, how were they supposed to find us!!! When they arrived, there was no big crew. There was a man and a woman, and about 4 hours later, another guy showed up. They did work hard and I’ll give them credit for that. The original guy said they would do what they could today(Saturday) and finish tomorrow(Sunday), but we both work on Sunday(we’re ministers). Bless their hearts, they left about 8:20 p.m. and had finished. One of our problems was we are in a rental house with the house’s owner paying for the carpet, so we had absolutely no recourse whatsoever. STEVE from Carpet Man lied and lied and lied and there was not a thing we could do about it. *ALLTOSAY: BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!!! If you read this review and still buy from these guys, seriously, you’ll only have yourself to blame. It’s a wonder anybody who LIES and LIES and LIES like this can stay in business. You have been warned!
