BBB rated F. Here is what happened to me: Took an Xbox 360 with RROD for repair. Read the acknowledgement and was aware some consoles cannot be repaired. Picked up the console a few days later, found it was totally dead — would not power on at all. Was surprised because it was supposed to have been bench tested before leaving the store and repair invoice did not note unsuccessful repair. Went back to Console Doctor to follow up, since my console was more dead after the repair than before. The lady at the front desk couldn’t have been more discourteous — basically said I should have read the repair acknowledgement(I had) and that I was out of luck. Hey, I understand: sometimes doctors lose a patient. Then things went terribly, awfully wrong. I said it was a bad surprise to take home a dead console without a heads-up, but since it was apparently well and truly dead, could I buy one of the reconditioned units they offered for sale? The lady ordered me to leave the store. Naturally, I was baffled — I’d just given them money and was now offering to give them more. So, I asked if she was kidding. Nope. She said she would call the police and have me arrested if I didn’t leave. Sensing no good would come from further discussion, I went back home and sent them an email asking for the chance to make things right. In response, the console doctor emailed back accusing me of trying to blackmail them and stating they would go to the State Attorney and file a harassment complaint against me. Zowie. How did we get to there? I’d expressed disappointment with their service, but then offered to spend more money at their business. Absolutely the most bizarre treatment imaginable. One star, not for the failed repair but for the worst customer service imaginable.
