Jacksonville Public Library – Argyle Branch

I can honestly say I haven’t depended on a library since college. I usually can find everything I need online but thank god for the library because I don’t have Internet connection at my home yet.

The library is located off the main road and isn’t hard to find. There is a book drop off which is pretty neat. It’s like a McDonald’s drive thru but to return books. There is plenty of parking close to the building, great for adults with children.
When I entered the library I was already into silent mood, my inside voice was turned down to the minimum. As soon as you walk through the front doors there are table setup with computers for adult usage. I asked one of the librarians what I need to do to use a computer and explained to her that I just needed to use the printer. A library card is free for military if you can provide them with something your current address. Well I didn’t bring anything so she charged me $ 2 to use the computer. I was really upset because it cost me $ 2 to use the computer for about 3 minutes. Then I was charge ten cents on top of that to print (which I knew about printer charges)
The library is good for researching/​borrowing books and I could see that many people still use it frequently for other activities. I paid $ 10 for a $ 20 food voucher that ended up costing me $ 12.10 in the end. In general the place is clean and of course quite but I will use my own printer at home in the future.
