Takhrai Hard to find but well with it. We had five entrees but no appetizer. The entrees were excellent especially the panang curry and the drunken noodles. The is a broccoli dish named amazing and yes it really was amazing. The main event was that we had rice but drumroll please, it was in the shape of a heart! It truly was the most heartwarming rice I’ve ever had. It’s next to the dunkin donuts. If you can find it you’ll enjoy it.

This was a disappointment for me. The place is lovely and the service excellent but the food was not impressive. We started with soups. I was really craving some warm Tom Yum. I added seafood to my soup as my husband did who ordered the coconut soup. The flavors were bland and we noticed that the scallops were fake and the squid frozen and had a piece of shrimp each. For our entrees, hubby ordered the seafood massaman curry and I the green curry. We had the same frozen fake scallops and frozen squid. This is more like a pricey fast food place. Great presentation though, just poor food taste. Was mislead by high rating. Never coming back.

Okay, so this review is waaaaaay overdue. My husband and I have been eating here ever since they opened next to Dunkin Donuts. Everything we’ve ordered here tastes delicious and the food is always consistent in taste, quality, and portions. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in Jax. We feel so lucky that it is so close to home. The owner and waitstaff are pleasant, and service is always prompt and courteous. I docked a star because I feel the food on the dinner menu is a bit pricy for what it is and compared to other Thai restaurants in Jax.

Ate here with my wife, daughter & mother. My daughter always eats fried rice at in oriental place and this was no different. She enjoyed, but wasn’t here favorite. My wife and I shared a chicken and Basel dish and a chicken and pepper dish. Both were satisfying, but wasn’t spicy enough for me. My mom enjoyed here soup.

Best Thai in Jax hands down… And I’m Thai! Great service and lovely atmosphere. Fair prices! Chicken pad thai for $ 12 is a steal! Lunch time they serve a smaller portion but also add their house soup. Excellent

The food was great, but the service was horrible! The waitress never greeted us and seemed a bit annoyed at us even being there. We arrived at 9 and were the only ones there. I told the waitress I couldn’t eat rice and asked for vegetables instead. She told me she would replace the rice with vegetables but served my food with rice! She said she couldn’t replace it, but failed to tell me before. I would have paid extra for the veggies but after the horrible service, didn’t want to ask. She gave us our check and stood at the table until we placed our card in with the bill. She didn’t give us any time to review it. I was appalled at how rude our waitress was. It’s a shame because the restaurant was well presented.

If you are a fan of Thai food this place is great. If your not a regular Thai food eater, I would suggest not leaving a review that says it doesn’t taste good if you don’t have a good base of reference. This food here is delicious, the panang curry is wonderful. I have eaten here several time and the food has been consistently good. Service has always been responsive and timely. Prices are fair, the service and quality of food make for a good value. If you would like a $ 7 combo this is not that kind of restaurant.

Came here for dinner and ordered the Drunken Noodles with steamed tofu($ 16.95). I ordered it medium spicy and it came out perfectly. There was a large portion of tofu thrown in which was great and it even has pieces of eggplant too which was a surprise. Large portion but I was hungry so I gobbled it all up.

I’m new to. Thai food. **Food: my mom ordered a beef noodle soup. It came with rice and salad in the side.(Big platter) We didn’t like the taste, it was really bad. We left it there. We’ve tried this from a different place and it was really good, so we thought it might b good here too. I ordered the chicken pad Thai which was very good. I’ve tried this from another place, this was very similar. I liked my plate, however my mom didn’t. There«free water» tastes really bad, don’t drink it. ***Place: the place itself was nice, small but comfy. I loved their decorations. ***Service: the service wasn’t so good. They took forever to bring the sodas and the check. I had to tell them twice after waiting like 10 minutes. ***Price: it is pricey!!! Our bill came to $ 56.

Mixed ideas: We went on 2 occasions. First visit was awesome. It was New Years day and no one was there. We had curried dishes. They were good portions and flavorful(no complaints). Excellent service(of course… we were the only guests). We went tonight and the place was busy. minus 3 empty tables. We were looked at by staff at the other end of the restaurant when we walked in, but no one said«hi» or offered to seat us. After 3 minutes, we just grabbed a table. Maybe it is a «seat yourself sometimes» place, but we missed the sign? Waitstaff hardly said anything to us throughout our visit besides: «Are you ready to order?» and«Anything else for you?» We had the calamari as an appetizer tonight. It was approximately 10 over fried(dry) calamari rings over a HUGE pile of iceberg lettuce and one LIME wedge. There was NO sauce. My entrée was the chicken salad(lap gai on menu). It was equally disappointed(pic posted). Ground chicken that looked like our pets food, on top of HUGE leaves of iceberg lettuce… and a few sliced red onions. Overall this place seems to be one where, it depends what time you go and what you order. I won’t recommend the calamari or dinner chicken salad. Curried seafood dish on our daytime visit and side soup were good.

This is a small Thai restaurant off Bartram Park, when you walk in it is decorated nicely and had traditional Thai music playing which was nice on my lunch break(kinda de stress ya know!) The lunch specials were around $ 10 – 14 and you get a decent amount of food for lunch. I got the red curry with chicken, this is served with jasmine rice and a small soup and salad. The soup and salad were both very good, the brothy soup was salty and warming, and the salad while nothing special had a fantastic dressing on it! The curry was great! Very saucy with just the right amount of heat(medium) and sweet, there wasn’t a ton of chicken in there but when poured and mixed with the rice it was delicious! I will come back to try something else!

Food is fantastic! Best Thai restaurant within 10 mile radius. Curry is amazing(all of them). Service is a little slow but they just got started. Friendly and good for small groups as well. Definitely coming back again.

I really really wanted to like this place because it is so convenient and I LOVE thai food. I must say… They had two things going against them(1. I was really craving pad thai and as such my standards may have been higher than normal and 2. I got the food to go and waited about 30 mins before eating) but I really wasn’t very impressed. The pad thai was kind of dry and didn’t have as much flavor as some of the others I have had. The eggs were nice and fluffy though. I would have preferred a more saucy version with more peanuts and lime. The chicken was ok but also a little dry. I do acknowledge though that it is hard to rate a restaurant on their to go food. This being said, I will definitely go again and give them another shot at dine in. If I had eaten in and the food had tasted as it did, I would give the restaurant two stars but giving them the benefit of the doubt I will up it to three as I waited to eat it.

Wow! Haven’t even left the parking lot yet and we had to write. This place is great! The entire dining experience was awesome! Takhrai is hidden among a lot of fast food places but this is no fast food. We started out with the Dumplings. We got them steamed and they were done just right. The sauce to dip them in was delicious. Both the Coconut Soup and the Hot and Sour Soup were awesome. I got the Duck Jacuzzi(hot) and my wife got the Red Curry(medium). A ton of food! Service was great and the décor of the restaurant was bright. Can’t wait to go back again!

This is a great Thai restaurant. It is small but the food is delicious. The décor is really nice. The service was great as well. I had the Amazing… which it was and the Pad Chicken. Thai is not normally my first choice for dining but after going to Takhrai I will be a regular. Both dishes were served with soup and salad. The soup was fantastic and the salad superb. I loved the dressing. I was there at lunch and the price was very reasonable.

I almost gave up finding this because I came in the wrong way, but I am glad I persevered and finally found it. It is so small, I thought it was closed up until the point I pulled the door at the entrance. They start you with some delicious chicken and rice soup. I wish I had a huge bowl of it was so good, but if I had I would have missed more good following. The salad was«meh», but not a distraction at all, just not as outstanding as the soup. My main entrée was The Amazing and the sauce of the dish was just that… amazing. The vegetables were crisp and the chicken perfectly cooked. If I had a criticism it would be that the broccoli was«wet», so the sauce would not stick to it. Even then, the dish was still wonderful. Service was friendly and swift. In fact, so swift that my entrée came out before I had time to start my salad. Good find and since I have to inspect a commercial property nearby, it is good to know I have a restaurant to enjoy when I come to this area.

My fiancé tried this place with his co-workers for lunch and said it was very good, so he took our friend and I for dinner. For an appetizer, we had the steamed dumplings. My fiancé had the BBQ Pork Noodles. I had the Red Curry with Chicken at Max spicy(if you have not already noticed) and our friend had beef noodles(like phở). BBQ Pork Noodles — I only took a sip of the soup because I don’t like pork. It has nothing to do with my religion or ethnicity, it’s just that I had bad experiences of eating pork so I stop eating it altogether. Leaves a weird taste. Anyways, I tasted the pork in the soup and didn’t like it. My fiancé thought it was pretty good. He liked the noodles(which they used ramen noodles). There were some greens in there and I believe an egg. It also came with a side of salad and fried rice. I thought the fried rice was pretty good, but I just know they used a lot of fish sauce. Overall, it was well presented. Red Curry with chicken(Max spicy) — Mmmmm I loved it. Our friend had a small spoon of the soup and she looked like she was choking. It was way too spicy for her. I knew it burned, but I’m a crazy person and love the burn. The rice was shaped like a heart which was cute. Every single bite was a deep burn, but it didn’t care. I didn’t sweat too much but my nose kept running. Beef Noodles — It pretty much looks like the basic Vietnamese Phở, except this time it had only the beef balls and steak. Looked pretty good, but I didn’t try it. Our friend said it was good and tasted like normal phở. It also came with a salad and fried rice. Overall, loved it. It was a nice dinner and place to eat at. People complain that it’s «too expensive» but it’s because there’s no competition. Where else are you going to find Thai food around Bartram Park?

This place took me by surprise! It’s a small place connected to dunkin donuts so I wasn’t expecting much. We arrived as soon as they opened and placed a to go order. The waiter was very helpful and patient as we looked at menu. He even made suggestions, which I love because menu can be a lil overwhelming. We ended up ordering chicken pad thai, medium level of spice, which was perfect and chicken with red curry and it was incredible! Food was cooked to perfection, not bland but not too spicy. . I gave it only 4 stars because I didn’t experience the dining experience, but I plan to return and update my review.

I will get my one negative comment out of the way first… It was sort of hard to find this place, as I came in the wrong way at first. Now to the good stuff… The restaurant is adorable. The food presentation is spot on. Prices are in line with other Thai restaurants in town. The family who owns Tup Tim also owns this place. We started with the Tom Kha Gai… And it was really, really good! We ordered it with chicken… And it had a LOT of chicken. Tip: try this soup with a side of jasmine rice. Delicious! We did chicken Pad Thai and the massiman beef. We get our Thai food medium heat. The Pad Thai was a nice sized portion and ran about $ 13 with chicken. Very flavourful. The massiman came in a metal taurine with a heat candle beneath. Lots of beef, potatoes and carrots. It’s a Thai version of beef stew. It was good. A lot if beef. We will be back. It’s very nice to have a good Thai place to site down without having to drive all over town. If you save room for dessert, you can stumble next door to Dunkin Donuts!
