What a cute park! 187 acres of park land including a very nice Nature Center with donated specimens. When we were there I noted milkweed growing in the front of the Nature Center, as you may know the Monarch butterfly needs milkweed and feeds only on milkweed during it’s larvae stage The indoor beehive under glass was spiffy but I didn’t find the queen :/ Bring your lunch and a blanket and eat on the lawn. NO pet, bikes or fires at this park but it’s great for little ones and it is a good resource center.

This park is nice for children and adults. The nature center has hundreds, if not thousands of stuffed animals and preserved insects and butterflies. Some of the highlights include a polar bear standing at least 8 feet tall and a beehive encased in plexiglass where you can see the bees coming and going and just going about their business. There are a variety of nature trails where you can take a quiet walk or bird watch without the hassle of having to deal with mountain bikers shredding around you. Bikes are not allowed on the trails here. A great place for anyone looking for some quiet time and spending some time with nature.

A hidden gem of a park with trails and a nature center. Nice and quiet. Bird watching. When I was visiting there were a bunch of Nuthatches.
