As my first-born continues to grow older and we enter the ranks of playground-goers, I find myself increasingly discriminate of play areas. This one is ah-mazing! It has two large connected play structures, a swing set, see-saw, a sand box, tons of toys and bikes that have been generously donated for a chance at a second life. The place gets crazy busy though. The after work crowd on a weekday is enough to incite a panic attack — especially for a newbie playground mom like myself, and quite frankly, I’m petrified of even trying to go on a weekend. That’s not to say there isn’t room for everyone, though. With the plethora of benches and tables, there really is room for everyone. D There are tons of abandoned(okay: «donated») toys left around — for the sand box and for kids to ride on, play in, etc. which adds to the play options. I love the access from here to the pond; it makes taking a walk around the pond before or after the playground a nice option. Not to mention all the shops and restaurants right on Center Street as well. There is easily accessible parking behind the playground — it is the public parking lot in JP behind Blanchards. It is 2 hours only, but that is usually more than enough time to get in and out of the playground. It’s nice to not have to troll around for a parking spot.

I took the kids here. The kids were really live this place. It has a lots of toy and people to come here. I would recommend if you have kid age 1−6years old, you should take them here :)

We’ve been going to the tot lot for four years now. My older daughter is four and outgrowing it, and my younger daughter is two and loves it and uses all that this small lot has to offer. There’s a good amount of shade, especially around the edges. Any parent knows this is a rare, good thing in a playground. The structures are fun, well build, and well maintained. There’s a large sandbox, a seesaw that looks like it’s designed to make kids lose all their teeth, but I’ve yet to see any injuries. The only swings are little baby swings hung from the now-useless monkey bars. The lot is completely fenced in. It’s one block over from Centre street and a two minute walk to JP Licks. If you didn’t know where this playground was, you’d never even know it existed, but it doesn’t stay a secret from any parent for long.
