Mark and Ernie and their team are the absolute best. Real good people and they treat their clients like family. I’ve referred everyone I know to them. It is sad to report that they are winding the business down and retiring soon. They aren’t doing body work any more and only some repair until they close the shop permanently. I wish them all the best. They will be sorely missed!

May I just say that Mark and Ernie are the best? They kept my extremely old and rusting Honda Accord going for years at minimal cost and always explained what they were doing and why. They could be «creative» in their repairs — but never unsafe. Once when the power steering fluid was leaking and the place I had landed at told me the whole system would need to be replaced. Mark explained to me why that was unlikely. I managed to get the car to him, and he figured out how to repair it for under $ 200 including labor. When the brakes went, I had the car towed to them at my expense because I knew they’d be honest about whether or not it was worth fixing. They were. They realized the gas tank was rusted out and leaking and that the brake repair would also be very expensive. They told me it was time. They didn’t even charge me for looking at it. I know for a fact that a lot of places would have just fixed the brake issue, charged me a ton and sent me on my merry way knowing the car was neither safe nor inspectable. My point is whether you have an expensive foreign car, or a very old used one, these guys know cars and know what they’re doing, and they don’t lie.

Simple. My go-to guys and my father-in-law’s go-to guys for years. Helpful, honest, and friendly.

Allow me sing their praises. I was involved in a car accident on Queens Blvd near Hillside Ave. After the respective Geicos were called and the Police made their report, I drove off, thinking my car was still drivable despite the damage to the fender, etc. It was so not. The shaft had been severely bent and my alignment was completely wrecked. I took a left onto Hillside and pulled into to ARM, the first body shop I saw. It was cold, rainy; I was a total mess. I was quickly greeted by a genial gentleman named Ernie who looked at my car, heard my story, then kindly let me use their office phone to call Geico and tell them the car-no-drive news. After spending something like 20 minutes in their office, I explained to Ernie and his partner Mark that I live in Brooklyn, but was on my way to drop off a piece of equipment at 182 Pl. I wanted to leave the car at ARM to get fixed, but asked if I could take what I needed from the car, then call a car service to drop off the equipment, blah blah. Still rainy and gross out, Ernie insisted on driving me and my gear to the repair shop, then to the F train. He saw me off with a sympathetic smile. It’s a week later and I just got my car back. Not only has the damage been impeccably repaired, the car’s been washed and vacuumed complete with oil change and a new filter. It looks brand new. Although I wish a car accident on no one, if you find yourself sideswiped on Queens Blvd and need safe haven, look no further than ARM.
