This establishment is the absolute worst. I travel frequently for work and have seen my fair share of not so great airport food stands but this place takes the cake and after my experience today I am reporting them to the NYC Health Department. I arrived to an empty store and waited nearly 10 minutes before someone would even acknowledge my presence. Again, the store was empty! The staff here is incredibly rude. I ordered a bagel with a side of cream cheese. I then went to the refrigerator to get a Naked juice drink and guess what, the refrigerator was NOTEVENON! The place had sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, drinks etc and NOTHINGTOKEEPTHESEITEMSFRESHANDCOLD. I told the cashier about it, and she shrugged her shoulders and said«ok I will fix it». Which of course, never happened. When I got my bagel, the side of cream cheese was as hot! Not warm, not slightly warm, HOT. I never asked for my bagel toasted and after seeing as how the front of store refrigerators were never on, I knew that wherever this cream cheese came from(which was certainly not from a cold compartment), it would not be safe to eat. I told the cashier I would not be paying for my order and walked out. But not before the cashier proceeded to yell at me for putting them through the trouble of making an order if I didn’t want it. This place is disgusting and vile and I am reporting them to the NYC Health Department. Heed the warning and DONOTEATHERE! P. S. — I am a woman of my word, and have reported you to the NYC Health Department.

The staff here are SO rude and distracted. It wasn’t even busy. One of the workers forgot to give me my full change and the other one yells at me because I wasn’t choosing my toppings fast enough and asked a question. I’m sorry you hate your job but it’s not my fault you work here. Stop being so rude to your customers and maybe the customer won’t be rude back.

I agree with some of the other reviews that this place is pricey for what you get. However, it is New York. I had the Reuben on sourdough which was quite delicious! The sandwich was not all dry and the bread was tasty and grilled to perfection. The serving size was generous, and the wait was reasonable. The staff other than the cashier were not at all friendly, but that is not entirely unexpected considering the location.

Very poor service! We ordered bagel with cheese and we got the bagel almost empty… had to come back to ask for more cheese. I asked for cappucino and I got a regular coffee… It’s also expensive and it’s not even good. we throught out what we ordered and went to another place in the terminal. they should close this place!

We ate lunch here before a plane this week. The bread was barely edible… tough and tasteless. The filling was said to have pesto and there was NONE in the sandwich. The sun– dried tomatoes were so dry it was not possible to bite into it. We spent $ 30 on 2 sandwiches and a drink… we threw out the sandwiches. What happened to this once lovely chain?

The people who work here are the slowest possible. Just a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich took 15 minutes, and it was not busy. The sandwich was dry and tasteless. They did not put any butter on the sandwich and cooked it until it was dry as possible. Some poor girl was ahead of me waiting for her order, and then found out that the woman who took her order never told the cooks about it.

Upon arriving to JFK after a long morning of traveling for my wife and me, I jetted to the nearest espresso machine for my an iced latte – for my wife, mind you. Here, they do steam the milk, which adds a nice touch. But… with an excess of milk, the latte erred on the side of watered-down. Not something you can really afford(no pun intended) when you need caffeine into your blood. You know what I always say… you can take out caffeine, via dilution, in a drink. But unless you can defy the laws of gravity(or literally dump a crushed up caffeine pill), you cannot add caffeine back into a coffee… lest you add something that isn’t actually coffee.

Looks great. Taste is just the opposite. It’s unfortunate, really. I so wanted the ham & Gruyère($ 11.43) sandwich on what looked to be a fresh, crunchy bread. But no luck. It was like biting into a rubberized styrofoam club. I compare places like this to Pret a Manger, for example, in London. Why is it that here in NYC, the worlds’ melting pot, you can’t get decent bread in a sandwich at the airport? Good bread, German style, French style, just ain’t happenin’ round here. Come on people, let’s bring the old world breads here. Americans have the best teeth and yet we are forced to eat this wimpy bread or poorly turned out rubberized poo. It amazes me that after 30 years of living here and traveling back and forth to Europe that we can just barely match the food, especially breads, quality compared to say Germany. I’m gonna stop writing here because I can feel the aneurysm starting to pop. Off to Germany I go. Fresh, crunchy, tasty bread, here I come!

$ 20 for a basic parfait and a dry mozzarella & tomato panini?! I’m used to very expensive food, but this felt like getting mugged.

Baguettes and baguette sandwich bread is NOT fresh and crunchy like LAX. Turkey should be higher quality for $ 11. My sandwich was stale. I think the JFK La Brea Bakery needs some checking on.

VERY rude staff and EXPENSIVE food. okay i understand it is inside the airport terminal but whatever. most people charge back to their company’s but a person like me who pays out of their own pocket. it is very expensive. small coffee and a bagel with cream cheese cost me $ 7.02 that is ridiculous.

Very very poor over priced airport food. If you have time take the walk to look for something else or just get a banana from them and leave it at that. We were there in the early AM just after they opened. Ordered a breakfast Panini(9.50). It was basically a piece of bacon, two scrambled eggs in-between two pieces of toasted bread that maybe — maybe had butter on it. Was the single driest thing I’ve ever ate — or the part of it I did eat. No bueno

As a crazy fan of panini, I found the price and taste was reasonable in the airport. I went there to pick up my mom and she was hungry. So I ordered two paninis with a cup of coffee. The assistant was nice and keep asking me how to transfer from CUNY to SUNY. I told him that they were two different systems. LOL

I must say that the reviews for the sandwiches were not glowing but the chose your own salad was very well done and tasty. Expensive at $ 11 but it was a large amount with quality ingredients and a nice selections of ingredients to chose from.

The sandwiches are pre-prepared, extremely bland, and overpriced.

Breakfast paninis come out pretty quickly and are a decent size given the $ 10 price tag.

The food here is absolutely mediocre. I got the chicken sandwitch and it was just a bland thin piece of chicken with one letuce and one tomatoe for $ 11. Avoid it if you can.

Should I say Slow!!! And gave my order to someone else. So I had to wait again for mine. Not even an apology. But the Reuben sandwich I got was good. So can’t complain that much.

Decent but overpriced. My mozzarella sundried tomato sandwich(which they can toast for you) did not have the basil leaves or the pesto described in the menu board, thus the item was misleading. It also cost about nine bucks, making it very pricy even by airport standards. Overall not a bad sandwich. Healthier(I guess) than Shake Shack next door but really not worth a second visit.

A decent airport option, but still airport fast food. Similar quality to abp, but slightly different offerings. Also some of the same, like caprese sandwiches, fruit cups, and yogurt parfait. Pretty friendly staff, especially given my early morning visit. Small seating area with stools.
