ALSO: Beware of rent increases that go well above 10% at any given point and time. According to the leases, you are getting the apartment at a discounted rate and because of that, they can raise the rent each year until they max out for the apartment. Example: The apartment can go for $ 2K per month, you are currently paying $ 1200 per month. After the first year, if you decide to stay the rent can go up to $ 1500 if they so chose. Who does that??? They do. No rhyme or reason, just pure greed.

If I can give them 0 stars I would. I do not come on Unilocal to bash establishments but Metropolitan Property services is terrible. I have been living at my apartment for almost 2 years and in my experience they do not answer the phone after 10am and send you straight to voicemail. If you have any repairs you need taken care of you must work with maintenance availability not the other way around, my «building manager» in particular ‘Neal Altman’ never shows up or answers emails/phone calls. He has no idea what goes on in the building at all.(So much for building manager) Tenant services are an absolute joke. It’s a free-for-all, if you expect help with repairs, other tenants, loud noises or any other general issues. You’re on your own when it comes to MPS. That’s a guarantee. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I’ve lived at 141 – 5085rd for 2 years, all I can say is STAYAWAY! The grounds and apartments look nice but don’t be fooled! I’ll start off by saying the real estate agent they exclusively work with is a male chauvinist. He couldn’t believe my boyfriend«let me drive, because women can’t drive ATALL». Meanwhile, he almost crashed into a PARKED car. I am not lying to you. I was appalled, if I wasn’t so desperate to find an apartment I would’ve looked elsewhere just based on that. In the two years I have lived there my rent went up FOURTIMES. Once because I renewed the lease and three more times because of «MCI» charges. By the end of my second lease my rent had gone up $ 250 more a month than when I signed my first lease. $ 250MORE A MONTHINTWOYEARS! Good luck trying to get a hold of management. No one will call you back, no one answers the phone and the office will be closed for DAYS because of random holidays. That’s not all! I was subjected to seeing my neighbors man parts because he pees in the garbage chute(I went to management to no avail). Everyone smokes and leaves garbage in the hallways(again, went to management to no avail) . My fridge broke on a Thursday, a week and a half later I had a «new»(Read: refurbished) fridge, but only after taking TWODAYSOFFOFWORK for them to come and see the broken fridge for themselves. Forget about signing up for the exterminator. You will wait all Saturday and no one will come(again, spoke to management and they did nothing.) The ONLY thing good about this apartment are the groundskeepers. They are very nice and keep the lawn looking nice. If you are considering renting with this management company, don’t.
