Stay away! The staff is incompetent, they do not care or don’t know what customer service is, the food is salty and heavy on condiments. It is not worth the long wait. Take your hunger and money somewhere that values your business. The person who took my order(El Abogado) did not communicate to the kitchen my order correctly. I had ordered a Quipe and asked for it before the food came out because I was hungry. He told me that I would have to wait as they had to bring it up from the basement. Instead of doing his job, he went to the back and started eating his own food. When I approached the counter, I could see they were finishing my order and it was wrong. El Abogado finally came back from his mini lunch break and started to pack my order. I informed him that the order was wrong but he assured me that it was correct. When he finished packing the order, he realized that he had forgotten to order the quipe and said I would have to wait an extra 5 minute. I asked him to remove it from my order and for a refund. When I get to the table, I open the order and I see that it’s wrong. I take it to the counter and explain yet again what I want. You would think that given the fact they had screw up my order, they would prioritize it and try to get it out quickly. Instead, they put it to the side and kept working on new orders. For a business in the food industry, they seem to not understand that their customers are hungry. Overall it was a frustrating experience, way to go Rico Chimi — You sucked the joy out of grabbing a quick bite.

Definitivamente este lugar me encanta, su yaroa es lo mas rico que me he comido. Ni en santo domingo te la comes así. Tienes que venir y probar de todo, no sabes que escoger.

This fucking spot is so disrespectful. I called over 2 hours ago requesting simply for 2 Yaroas I called back over 4 – 5 times and was ignored. And was told the delivery guy was sent out. I don’t live far. I’m literally 5 blocks away. I tried calling another 8 – 9 times and they ignore my calls. They finally pick up and tell me they don’t know what happened with the delivery guy. If that’s the case send me my food with another guy smh. I’m pissed beyond belief. I’ve waited 2 Hours for fast food. And they didn’t seemed sorry in the slightest.

I went there. After years going there and for the first time the employees denyed to cook a chime for me … I asked for a chiken chimy /no salad… And he said: «all the chimies are made and they have salad, look at the time we dont make chimis at this time». I told him«im a bartender, i always come here for yrs and this is the first time u say«no» … But ok, give me a «cheese empanAda» and i walked just with that… Sooo disapointed with the service. :-/

This is easily the highest quality most affordable new age Dominican fast food you can find ANYWHERE. They cleverly made the storefront look like a truck, décor is excellent. It’s Dominican food you usually only find in a truck but with the much more regulated and sanitary conditions of a restaurant. Needs to expand its menu to breakfast and it’ll be complete because any other time of the day you can have a meal or quick snack. must try the Chicken Chimi and Pastelito of chicken and cheese(one of a kind) and the Picao is second to none. Keep up the good work

If you don’t call ahead, get ready to Wait! The chimi’s aren’t authentic Dominican chimi’s. I would order empanadas which are already made and are actually delicious.

So yesterday 2÷15÷15 I decided to order some Rico Chimi from the spot on Atlantic and Rockaway Blvd, when I called the number it went to voice mail i called a few times thinking I was going crazy or had the wrong number. So today I walk into the Rico Chimi and there was a Chubby short kind of light skinned girl at the front and I said«I have a question, Yesterday I tried call but it kept going to VM». without letting me finish my sentence she said«yes I know I disconnect the phone when I can’t do deliveries». I said but what if i was calling to order and pickup or” again without letting me finish my sentence, she said«I disconnect it from the wall and I just don’t pick up the phone». I said«so that how you do business huh». and walked away. People are so Freaking rude. How do you conduct a business that way. By disconnecting your phone when you customers may have questions especially on All Star Weekend. Highly disappointed at the response i got and how i was treated as a customer.

Chimi’s for the win! I love everything from the food to the atmosphere to even the people waiting in line for their meals. It’s always friendly, clean and fun and of course the Chimi’s are the best. And if you don’t think you can eat a full sandwich they have every other Dominican speciality you can think of. The hottest spot on the block for sure.

The meat no matter what you get in the patacone(beef, chicken or pernil) is ALWAYS juicy and so flavorful, they don’t skimp on the white cheese or sauce either. Their version of a burrito is also delicious. Don’t over do it with the spicy sauce unless you like extreme spice. This place is also open after midnight, such a great place for cheap Dominican sandwiches and food.

This is the spot to be at after a long night of drinking and dancing bachata. For those who don’t live in the heights of the bx, we don’t have the luxury of the chimi truck, so we go to Rico Chimi. There are a few locations here, this being the one that I frequent. Its satisfying. It can get packed and it can take a while for your order. I personally love getting a platter of fritura and dogging it with other people vs. just getting a chimi. There’s never parking here though, but if you’re double parked or leave your car right on the corner the cops won’t bother you because they are waiting for their order too.
