On my way to the gym my headphone break so I head in to Walgreens on Jamaica ave for a new pair. After spending 30 minutes on a ridiculously long line I had to wait for the manger to unlock the head phones. He gets the pair I wanted and hands it to another cashier who completely ignores me. After I tell her I already waited on the line she continues to take other people telling me I need to wait on line. Wtf! & I’m telling her I already waited and she ignores me. When I asked to speak to the manager he takes 16 minutes to come and all he wanted to know was did I pay for the headphones. He as well as everyone else was rude and uninterested. 1. The lines should not be that long. 2. Even though you don’t try to act like you give a fuck.

I must say I love Walgreens always a great sale no matter what location you go to it’s always long lines but I don’t mind. My favorite one stop shop where i can grab everything I need. They always have great deals on snacks if you a snacker like myself, Doritos etc buy one get one my type of deals lol. I can always find my soaps and body wash products in the most popular scents and they are usually cheaper here

This location is always busy, however, they still manage to help people at an acceptable speed. There’s always a person in the front of the store to greet you and people working there is usually very nice and able to assist you. I like that this location has many things on sale, from cereal to chips. It is however quite messy when things are on sale. But I give this location 4 out of 5 stars because of their service and convenience. Keep your ears open for the loudspeaker because occasionally they have the makeup section and photo open up their registers to help customers. So when that happens, quickly go to that line because majority of people don’t listen and will still wait on the main line. They usually ask you if you want to buy gum, candy, or other filler items, and donate a few dollars to some cause. I find that to be quite annoying, but they’re probably required to ask every customer. So that’s why I didn’t rate this 5 stars.

They would do better if they hired more staff, have staff go on breaks at different intervals or get rid of their 4 useless till. Sometime around 5pm on a busy Thursday afternoon is NOT the time to antagonize customers(if there ever was a time to). Why should customers be subjected to a snail moving queue of about15 others including women, teens and senior citizens and have to look at all those unmanned tills? Do better Wallgreens. The store was clean though. The End.

My only issue with this Walgreens is the extremely long line to Never, Never Land. Why is it that no matter what time of the day, afternoon or evening the line is always 15+ people long?! There’s 2 – 3 cashiers ringing up customers but the line moves like molasses. Slower than a turtle. Slower than getting to Friday. Why? Why? Why? If you see that the line is beginning to look like a concert wouldn’t you think to call for backup? Some of the cashiers have no personality & some do. If they moved the stupid beverage cooler from in front of the registers there will no longer be a need for the annoying line. The«infamous line» works my nerves every single time I happen to stop in. There’s always a sale that they run, plenty of inventory that is well stocked, clean & the merchandise is easy to find.

I was here yesterday around 5:30PM to get another pair of clip on shades. This is getting annoying. When I found one that would fit my eyeglasses, I went up to pay. Man the line was long. There were three cashiers and yet the line didn’t seem to be moving at all. There were around 8 people ahead of me and it took 20 minutes which makes no sense since there were 3 cashiers.

Clean, friendly staff! I don’t come to this Walgreen often. The place is big, the selection is very good. Prices are regular. They are not cheap neither expensive. It’s a convenient location. I would shop again. I like it

I like going to this store over Duane Reade(they were rude to me the first time I set foot in that store). It’s neat and clean, so they often get my business. However, my issue with this store is that during certain times of the day the lines can be very long and slow, and they always wait for a lot of people to wait on the line before they call other employees to assist. But since I’ve worked in retail in the past, I am aware that this is the general protocol at all stores. Also, I don’t understand why they do not put a enter and exit sign for their doors. I have never been to any other store that is missing this sign. This creates a lot of traffic among customers as they are coming and leaving the store through both doors.

This Walgreens looks a lot better after its renovation — much cleaner and more organized than it used to be. It brings Walgreens up a notch. They always have quite a good amount of inventory. I could usually find what I need. However, the long lines to the cash registers are still the same. I guess some things just never change. Sigh, I was hoping to buy one item the other day but gave up. My suggestion is for them to open up one cash register and make it «EXPRESS» for only purchases of 5 items or less. Then it would be perfect!

Service is good. Photo pickup is pretty fast. When it gets busy, they call more staff to the front to open up more registers. They keep the place pretty clean and stocked, unless there’s a crazy sale on a item and it sold out. then that’s out of their control. 80% of the time when I’m about to pay, the clerk always asks if I want some gum, or if theres a promotion/sale for candy. I find it annoying sometimes. Maybe it’s the companies paying them commission to do so.

What can I say? This is my home store. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. All the managers are approachable and accessible. Recently remodeled store is still undergoing changes but open for business as usual. The store is brighter, more colorful, wider aisles and new stock especially organic and green friendly brands. Convienently located in the heart of Jamaica Center, due to the huge amount of foot traffic and transit lines converging on one point, there are lines at times but staff makes regular announcements of «I see three» prompting the response of team members to open more registers. Open til midnight and they sell wine and beer!!! Come visit me and say Hi

Always a quick Check out. Sometimes when I need something from a particular department which they need a special key to open the glass doors, it takes a noticably long time for assistance.
