.You need to try their steamed fish and veggies. The vegetables are fresh. They have kale, spinach, corn. The flounder and tilapia reasonably priced. The store is clean and the owners are very nice. They also have fried fish, shrimp and other things. So one day if you’ve got the time drop in.. Go for a walk. :). Tell your friends. My friends are hooked.

Fresh fish, great prices, but takeout only. Thia deli is located in a grocery store setting with no tables or chairs. The fish is awesome, i had talapia and was a great sandwich. The guys there Are chill and the Most expensive thing on the menu is 8 dollars and it is a FULL meal or 2. I have been going to this area if jamica on a regular bases and never found a good spot and always ended up getting kennedys or little Caesars. Found the new spot hopefully it doesnt blow uo and make prices go higher… And if you are grocery shopping go there awesome prices. 1 dollar for fresh thyme mint scallions… If your there just browse and youll see

I stopped by this little deli when I took the early train to work one day and had a half hour to kill before I had to get on the bus to my workplace. And I needed some breakfast… the place where I usually get breakfast near my apartment in LI had closed down. I tried several things from here, a few varieties of omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, a tilapia fish sandwich, and fried calamari on separate occasions. The omelettes are much tastier than what I would have expected from a little deli. I got mine with ham and mushrooms once, one with bacon previously, and also their«healthy omelette»(egg white omelette with turkey, onions, peppers and tomatos). Each omelette came with a serving of nice chewy breakfast potatoes and buttered white or wheat toast. And let’s just say, they don’t skimp on the meat or veggies at all. Each of the omelettes I had had nice chunks of meat and veggies in them(and quite often, I would get a bite full of meat/vegetables). And a $ 4-$ 4.50 a pop for quite a filling meal, these are quite worth it. Breakfast sandwiches are also good, though I’ve only had the bacon and egg one… had perfect proportions of both. Plus it was only $ 2. Fried calamari was some of the best that I’ve had(and I’ve eaten at plenty of expensive-ish Italian restaurants, along with not-so-expensive ones. So I’ve had my share of calamari in my 26 years so far =D). The calamari was tender, and the breading was crispy, not greasy(I normally dab off grease on fried food before I eat it, and on this, the amount of grease on it hardly stained my napkin), and the seasoning they used on the breading was very tasty. And they give you a good amount for $ 4…like they fill up one of those rectangular styrofoam boxes up with it. Plus, it stayed crispy even after I got to work that day a half hour later. Lastly, the fish… I ordered the tilapia with wheat bread, which was two fish filets sandwiched between some white or wheat bread. Both filets were decently sized and the breading was the same as the calamari… not greasy, crispy, and deliciously seasoned. And it was actually a thin layer of breading over a nice chunk of tilapia meat on both filets(unlike lots of fried meat or fish, in which there’s tons of breading and not a whole lot of meat). Their fish sandwiches go for $ 3-$ 4, and again, quite filling. I haven’t been to many of the other delis in the area, but this one is pretty solid. I stop by here almost every morning before I go to work. Except now I call in my orders about 15 – 20 minutes early since the line there can get a little long sometimes, and they always have the order ready for me when I get there. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area and you’re looking for a cheap, good place for breakfast or lunch.

Again I had time to kill on the LIRR, so I moseyed over to Well Being. This time I got the deep fried calamari. Only $ 4 for a generous portion. Great breading, it was well-seasoned and not at all oily. Crispy crunchy breading with tender squid. Yum! This place is definitely worth a visit for a cheap lunch.
