I cannot recommend the place. The food was«OK» tasting but later on I had a case of the Big D. I think it’s because they fry in sunflower oil, which they assured me they did not. On top of that, the guy served me a spring roll with the understanding that it was included in the price of $ 9.99. It was not. I had them remove it. However, just now when I checked my credit card account, it looks like they did not credit the added charge. I paid $ 14.99 including about $ 2 for the water, plus the unremoved charge of $ 2 for the spring roll.

Ordered general tso and greens. Ho hum General tso. Overlooked string beans. Soy sauce fried race. No smile service and rushing me through even without anyone behind me. Overpriced without the value.

Tastes old and extremely expensive. Do not buy if you are looking for a decent meal. Lo mein was really bland, meat old and crunchy

Oh geezus. Don’t put this food in your body. Even if you are the adventurous type and are down to eat anything, even if you don’t know what it is. I decided to grab a quick 2 item before catching my flight– lo mein, orange chicken, and tofu. The lo mein had no flavor, literally noodles and oil. The orange chicken wasn’t crunchy, lacked sweetness, and when you bit inside there was barely any chicken. The pieces that has chicken were extremely dry. The tofu tasted over salted and tasted like it was sitting in its metal bin for days. 3 bites and the rest was pushed to the side into the trash can. Went to auntie Anne’s for some mini corn dogs instead. The poor reviews on this place aren’t over exaggerating. Blah!

Wow, the only thing worse than the name is the food… If you are really hungry when you are at JFK and for some reason Wok & Roll is the only place open, I’d recommend fasting. Orange chicken was not fresh, and tasted bleh. Lo Mein was a Lo Blow to the tummy, and the tofu was inedible. Other than that it was great ;)

Awful old/burnt food and rude service, got sick after eating here. Teriyaki chicken(?) was insanely burnt to a crisp and the vegetables(broccoli, celery, green pepper, cabbage) were a weird combination of undercooked and overcooked. Not to mention I stood in front of the counter by myself for five full minutes before the guy finally came over. He had been slowly paving back and forth from the counter to the kitchen without doing anything food related and had made eye contact with me several times. Reading the other reviews, I agree that the place should be shut down. No way the food is safe or remotely edible. I’m usually not against supporting small businesses, but they don’t know how to run a restaurant. Zero stars.

We ask for the two item combo and asked for half rice and half chow mein. The guy says he has to charge us for an extra item. We ask why, do yoi give us a full order or rice or chow mein? He said nope just extra item charge to mix. Food? As almost all other reviews suggest… not edible. Don’t waste your money here.

Worst location in nation. Don’t even bother with this entire food court. Grumpy employees who act like you’re bothering them and the food appears and tastes old.

The worst food in all of JFK. Horrible service and small portions. They won’t give a glass of water. They will however, charge you for bottled water. Avoid this place at all costs. There are way better options.

I am writing about WOK&ROLL at JFK Terminal 8, Jamaica, NY11430, 718−632−7838 I have been here twice and each time the service was terrible. The server was rude, angry and downright insulting. I am hoping they go out of business. Food is not good either. VERY bad service. They seem to have no clue about how to greet a customer, or provide atleast mediocre service. The service, attitude and rudeness is appalling and I a surprised they have not been shut down yet. I give this zero stars.

Got lo mein and sweet chicken. It was ok. Lo mein was bland. Sweet chicken needs to be crispier.

We ate a mid-afternoon meal there before our flight to Warsaw on May 2. The food was actually quite tasty(my husband got the shrimp with fried rice [$ 9.90 plus tax] and I got some sort of egg-based dish with fried rice [$ 7.90 plus tax]). The prices were *very* reasonable for the generous portions. Also, the people working behind the counter were pleasant.

Yea, not great, but what’s the saying about Chinese food? «Even when it’s bad it’s still good.» We ate it, after 5 hours of flights and no food(since the also subpar chocolate croissant from our home airport,) but we have definitely had better. The egg drop soup was a little thick, like it’s been sitting too long(we ordered just before noon.) The chicken and broccoli had onions and green peppers too, but was bland. The strongest flavor I got from it was the broccoli. The honey chicken was actually not bad — like the kind you get from the mall food court. The rice was blah. «Fried,» but almost more like steamed brown rice that’s bad for you. All in all, it is a situation where you’re trying to pick the lesser of multiple evils in an airport food court. Lukewarm pizza? Sushi — before a flight? Golden Arches — before a flight? The fancy, overpriced«rib eye sandwich» and lime, brie chicken at the bar(it would have won out if we didn’t think it was too early to drink yet.) And donuts. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Eat at JFK’s(International) Terminal 1, without being grossed out. And without running to coffeebucks. Good luck.

Food poisoning! I had lo mein noodles, sesame chicken, and tofu here at terminal 4 around 10:15 am before catching a flight. The noodles tasted a bit sour, and I thought it was because of vinegar. Then I had diarrhea 3 times in the next 6 hours — twice on the plane and once when I am connecting now. Never had this strong urge to write a review so soon.

The food at Wok & Roll in Terminal 4 of JFK is barely passable. It was in near desperation that we even chose to order food from here in the first place. As many of you may have surmised by now, there is a scarcity of food in JFK. Terminal 4 has a small oasis of food, but the options are not so great. Wok & Roll is one such not so great option. Still, it was food, so we got it. Wok & Roll is essentially a crappier version of Panda Express. Panda Express is already low by my standards, so you can imagine just how crappy Wok & Roll was. The food tasted very greasy and oily. But it wasn’t simply just that. The food also tasted like lysol. It was quite gross. I did end up finishing the whole thing, but only because, as I mentioned before, I was desperate. They charged me $ 3 for water. Unconscionable. Again, I was desperate. What sucked most about Wok & Roll is that they have no seating area. JFK Terminal 4 has very few seating options in general, so we ended up having to sit on the floor. Not fun. I would normally give a «1» star to this place, but because I only reserve 1 stars to the truly terrible(ie — horrible service as well as completely inedible food), I will not dignify Wok & Roll with a 1 star review.

These guys suck. Rude employees and really bad food. Also, if you ask for a cup for water, they will refuse. I had to guilt them into giving one to me because some type of law states that all restaurants have to provide some sort of water to their patrons. Will never go back to these guys again. I hope they go out of business.

I had a few hours’ layover at JFK airport, I wasn’t in the mood for the ever popular fast food burger and fries, I wanted something more substantial than just a basic cold sandwich, but I didn’t want to bother with a sit down restaurant with waiter service, either. Wok & Roll in the food court fit the bill. I had the General Tso’s Chicken with fried rice and an egg roll, the portions were generous, the staff was friendly, and for my food and a bottle of Vitamin Water, the total came to about $ 15 which, for airport food, wasn’t too unreasonable. Their dining area was reasonably clean, they had staff going through to clean off and wipe down the tables as people finished eating and the food was actually quite good! 3 stars pretty much sums up my overall experience here.

Chinese infused with Japanese lunch entrees for Udon; Tofu; Bok Choi; General Tso’s chicken with heavy dosage of salt. There is a sign written in both Chinese traditional characters with English: «we do not use MSG» which is simply a white lie! Unbelievably one bottle of vitamin water overpriced at an utter $ 3.00 where at peak travel time an extreme slow service for staff are immobile to move their body to serve patrons. This Wok & Roll correctly sits in Terminal ONE not Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport(JFK), second floor above the Departure Gates.

Shockingly passable Chinese food… considering it is a buffet in the middle of an airport food court. On the outside, it would be 2 stars, but when trapped in JFK I bump it up to 3.
