Their ceviche de pescado and beef/chicken chaufas are AMAZING. I order both every time! They come with sauces. My absolute favorite is the green sauce. Peruvian food is definitely one of the better Hispanic foods.

Very disappointed, my previous review of this place was 5 stars, now I can’t even give them 3. Came back for the chuletas(pork chops) and not even close to what I got originally. First time I got this the chops were perfectly grilled and it came with fried rice. Today the pork chops were over cooked which made it tough and worst it was just plain rice this time. They were extremely busy packing take out and delivery orders, but this is no excuse for your food to go from excellent to poor. What happened here?

Definitely not my cup of tea. Stopped in with some friends and the food was a little exotic for my liking. The meats I had were very dry but the condiments they provide added a nice taste.

Go there today because a lot of people said that it was a great restaurant. I got in with my family and sat down. Waiting for the waiter and the menu but still we wait so long and nothing come. I went to the front desk to ask for the menu, they said it is coming. So we wait and we wait. The menu is still not coming, we decided to gave up the foods. We will never come back again

Don’t think about it and buy it! I travel for business a lot and I’m always looking for those hole in the wall gems that are to die for. Typically I’m disappointed, today I wasn’t. Give them a try!

Excellent food but small dining area and difficult to park. The food is worth it for take out.

Very good Peruvian food. I’m in town on business from Colorado. It was nice to find this little hidden gem. I had the papa a la Huancaina & pollo a la Brasa. Both plates were full of flavor. I’ll make sure to stop by next time I’m in the area. Good job!

Wow. Tastebuds go crazy in this legit hole-in-the wall. Huge portions and the best rotisserie chix ever. And the green sauce that comes with the Peruvian spaghetti may be the best tasting thing on earth. They even deliver(sometimes when the delivery person is actually working). Family from out of town begs me to order in when they come which we always love to oblige. Restaurant is very small and oddly placed kinda as par of a nail salon but it’s full of local Peruvians. Authentic!!!

I was a little skeptical about this restaurant based on the reviews I read. Can they all be accurate. We happen to be in the neighborhood after a recent band competition in the area. The outside of the restaurant is nothing to scream about. The interior is just as small. I counted 6 – 7 tables in the restaurant, tiny to say the least. The server was prompt and very polite. The food came to the table quickly. The ceviche was fresh and the chicken was moist. Great food for a great price.

a little hidden gem. we wanted to order lunch delivery on a rainy saturday and it wasn’t available till 4pm? i think that’s what she said. nonetheless we opted for pickup and i’m so glad we did. the food here is delicious and great portions. we had too much food for three people — ordered the combo and an order of chinese chicken rice: pollo a la brasa(whole roasted chicken): great flavor. really tender. i could drink the green sauce(it’s more mild than i thought it would be) french fries: a little oily but still good. i would skip this and save your appetite for the chicken and chinese rice salad: nothing great. just iceberg. i would skip this also chinese chicken rice: so good so good. great portion and they do not skimp on the chicken. what do they use? five-spice?

This is a neighborhood gem. We walked in with no expectations. Was not fancy dining room but casual local place. With byob. No ice machine though. A recommended dish was the beef with peppers and onions a Peruvian specialty.(Lomo Saldato) Also had a fried calamari platter was also very good. Would try again.

I’ve never had Peruvian food, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I thought we’d try it out due to the great reviews on Unilocal.I’m SO glad we did because the food was great! All the portions were very big. The personal grill could easily feed two people. The quarter chicken with fries and salad was delicious, and at $ 6.50, it was a deal! The waitress was new so she couldn’t explain a lot of the selections, but she was friendly and willing to get answers for us. Will definitely go back.

Excellent fresh flavors. I had a special with ceviche, fried calamari, fried yucca, and tigre leche. The tigre leche marinade was so good I considered drinking it. The fish in the ceviche was very fresh and delicious. The calamari and fried yucca were nice, the tigre leche and ceviche were the real stars of the dish. Price of the dish was $ 18, very reasonable I thought for such a nice fresh meal. Service was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by this city quality restaurant hiding away in Jamesburg. I will be back and I highly recommend it.

A total hidden gem– the food is absolutely amazing even though this place is tiny and in the middle of a random strip mall. I got the ½ chicken, yellow rice, plantains, and salad. It was more than enough for two hungry adults. The plantains were PERFECTLY cooked! All of the food was so simple and plain but wildly delicious. The salad was so basic but so delicious. I don’t know what dressing they used but it was great. The chicken was beyond amazing as was the rice. This place is fantastic and a great find. Also, you can tell it’s good because a ton of local Latinos were eating here.

A real find if you’re seeking home cooked Peruvian. The chicken, pork chops and Chinese rice is not to be missed. Portions are large so bring a friend. This“Hole in the wall” Peruvian restaurant is just the family friendly, great food for the price, BYOB joint every neighborhood should have. An extensive menu features such favorites as the succulent and well seasoned rotisserie chicken, a excellent value at $ 13.99 for a whole chicken with rice and Beans. The Chinese rice, where seemingly every thing in the kitchen finds itself and is a meal for two. The savory and tender pork chop with yellow rice and salad which has me scouring the internet to find the secrets of the marinade is also a great value at $ 11.00. I really like this place. The service can be a little slow at times because it does such a bustling take out business but relax, get into the telenovelas on the TV and anticipate an excellent meal. Go now, you won’t be sorry.
