John’s Barber Shop

Decent cut. Poor customer service.
My barber, I believe he was John, didn’t bother to brush the hair off my neck after the cut nor ask me how my hair looked after the cut and if I wanted anything else. He also trimmed the top even though I explicitly said not to cut nor trim the top.
Very cheap price however so you get what you pay for. Will not come by again.

My regular cutter in East Brunswick moved out of state and I find myself for the first time in a decade looking for another.
Yep a Cutter… not a hair stylist as I keep my hair short and about as stylish as I get a small dab of gel
Not a barber because I don’t let anyone with a straight razor near my head…{long story about the world cup on a barber shop’s TV, a missed penalty kick, a rabid soccer fan who just happened to be cutting my hair, a straight razor and my rather pale and vulnerable left ear lobe}.
It was ugly… very ugly.
Went in and was immediately seated with Anthony who did the right thing, asked how I liked my hair cut and attempted to engage in some sports talk… not my thing but appreciated all the same.
Followed my instructions well, asked if it was to my liking, total time in the chair is 20 minutes and I’m well satisfied with the results and the very reasonable price, ample parking and no television.
I think I’ll be a regular and hopefully won’t need to look for another cutter for awhile.

The past two cuts I had here haven’t been so good. I will keep the rating at four stars as I am rating the entire shop and staff, but the person who cuts my hair here has just done a poor job lately.

Very good barber shop. Good service and I always get a good haircut each time!
