This isn’t just another dive bar, it’s a swamp bar and when I say swamp bar, it really is one. Once when the Chadakoin rose high and I was in a canoe while out duck hunting I actually got to paddle my canoe right inside of this place. The place was open for business, the bartender wearing waders and served me in my canoe. I was later joined by another couple of duck hunters who rafted next to me in their flat bottomed John boat; nothing more fun than sitting in a boat inside of a bar wearing camo, shotguns within easy reach, enjoying a good beer. When the Chadakoin is low the bar is dry, which is most of the time though they often have some makeshift pallets to form a walkway over water that is puddled in the front. It’s divey, rustic and somewhat ready to fall apart; grimy but friendly. For a dive bar, OK.
