K & P’s Chuckwagon, what a delightful surprise. I’m new to this small town and decided to try the one local place. It doesn’t look like much and I didn’t expect very much but boy oh boy, I am now a regular after one visit. Lol I had a specialty burger that had the whole kitchen on it. Cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato… That was just for starters. It also had onion(I chose grilled), chili(drippy but great), ham, mayo, ketchup… I’m sure there’s more I can’t remember. Had it with a side of sweet potato fries with an optional cinnamon sugar, YUM. I also had a cup of beans with sausage and cornbread and onion fritters. Kim, the owner, even gave me the pigtail. This is no run of the mill greasy spoon place. It has hometown feeling all over it.

Saw a great 5 star review so decided to come for a burger. Tiny hole in the wall with mostly outdoor picnic tables. Should have gotten a clue when we saw they had Hunts Brothers pizza(frozen crust with sauce and cheese, just add toppings and bake). For $ 9 I got a bottled soda, a single burger with a slice of American cheese and half a strip of bacon on a plain bun and some cheese fries(frozen fries cooked and then put in a styrofoam container with a scoop of shredded cheddar and then microwaved). Waste of time and money! Couldn’t eat the fries so went straight to fast food to get something better.

Love love love Their cheese biscuits, its a small place that I don’t think I would have know about if my husband had not grown up around here… their burgers are really good as well … if I wasn’t so worried about health I’d have one everyday if I could def. Worth a try. it has become a tradition to get one on weekend mornings before running errands.
