We’ve been using Hampton Cleaners since we moved to the Jamison area about 9 months ago. Our first impressions were positive, the staff were friendly, and our shirts/coats were cleaned appropriately. We brought in a goose down comforter to be cleaned by Hampton and this is where our experience changed. After the cleaning, we put the comforter on a bed in our spare bedroom. Several weeks later we noticed there was a stain on the comforter. Admittedly, we should have checked for stains more closely after the cleaning, but given our positive history and the $ 40 to clean the comforter we didn’t think there would be an issue. We called to talk to the owner about the issue and the owner said there was(1) no record of us having the comforter cleaned by them(we had a receipt)(2) and we don’t frequent their company often. We were taken aback a bit by this and re-articulated our concerns, but unfortunately since they were unable to find our comforter cleaning record and we don’t frequent their business often enough, this meant they could treat us rudely. In fact, the owner said«had we went to the doctor and had a cold treated in February and returned back in March with a cold, would we expect the doctor to treat the cold again for free?» Never mind we were not asking for a refund, just that they look at the stain, but the owner expressed no sympathy to our issue/experience. Hopefully you have better luck than we did, but we will be taking our business elsewhere going forward.
