nope and nope. first engine failed after 6K miles. On the second on in less than a year and this one is leaking oil(again) and now antifreeze. Haven’t used the truck in 2 months because it keeps going back to the shop. They don’t cover what most shops charge, so you are out the difference. Plus, their book is not what most shops use. So, your shop charges 95+hr for a 4hr job, Jasper will cover a portion of the labor rate and then only will cover(in my case) half of the job. My mechanic that I had used for 10 yrs recommended them, I no longer have a relationship with that mechanic.

I bot my 2nd1998 Honda Civic after wrecking my first 1998 Civic, and 6-mo’s later the engine kicked a rod(engine was wasted, and THAT Used-Car Dealership was a ‘Fly By Nite’ Group). I almost went with a partially rebuilt engine, but I like the car and spent about double for a completely remanufactured engine block with a Warranty from Jasper(the head was still in pretty good condition, valves still at tight — no burn marks or cracks). I don’t drive the car much, but I really like it(it’s a 4-door EX and works great to get a small load of people to/from somewhere, and does it cheaply). The engine has about 5,500 miles & is now about 3yrs old. The engine still drives and performs TIGHT, like a new engine should sound and perform(still has that«GRRRrr» Sound and Feel when you push the accelerator). I just put new tires on this/my 1998 Civic-EX and I simply love this little car. I’ve upgraded the horn(it now sounds like a 1980’s series Cadillac Horn, Tee-Hee), so I can get someone’s attention when needed… but, otherwise, it is still in stock condition and looks/runs like brand-new. I might consider an audio upgrade, but then I would lose the remote control locks/emergency alarm. I might also consider either refurbishing the driver/passenger seats(material is in great condition, but the springs are worn) or buying replacements, but I’m not sure that I’ll do anything right away(replacing the springs would be the best option, to keep everything stock and add a soft/solid feel when I sit in the car). Anyway… I had a very good experience with JASPERENGINES and I would recommend them to anyone!

I own a small cab company, Pueblo Transportation & Tours LLC( ), in Tucson, Arizona, and needed a transmission for a 2001 Honda Odyssey. My local shop, Mobile Car Care, presented me with several options, including a Jasper remanufactured transmission. It was not the cheapest option, but I went with it because of the warranty offered and positive comments I found on Honda forums. Since installing the transmission this past April, I’ve put almost 30,000 miles on it — hard miles — stop and go, fast acceleration, and Arizona temperatures — and it’s running great! The warranty offers me piece of mind, and I have no doubt I’ll get 75 to 100k miles out of this transmission. Unless I experience any unreasonable repair or customer service issues with Jasper, I can honestly say that all of my transmission replacements will be Jasper going forward.

My mechanic put a Jasper engine in my 2004 Dakota, I trusted him. My trust was rewarded with a blown lifter after 18 months. Jasper covered the repair but not the $ 325 tow charge, REPREHENSIBLE! There product fails and I have to pay, NEVER, use these guys. Check on line, this company has way too many complaints to be considered a quality supplier of anything.

I have been in the automotive business for over twenty years and have NEVER seen a company that stands behind the product like Jasper does. A three year 100,000 mile warranty comes with all of the products they sell. This warranty covers parts and labor and is honored nationwide. That being said fellow Unilocalers, you can not buy anything from them. Jasper only sells their products to certified installers. I offer this review for you in case you have the misfortune of burning up a transmission, blowing up your cars engine or having your differential go bad. In the past, I would rebuild my own engines or transmissions. This took time and cost my customers money. I had to rely not only on my skill but on the quality of the parts I installed. More often than not, if a problem occured, the part I installed failed. This is not a good thing when a customer pays me $ 4000.00 and the transmission fails seven months later, while they are on vacation in Vermont. I decided to install Jasper products a few years back. Yes, I make less money on the job but I get security in return. To date, I’ve had two failures on units I’ve installed. The first was a transmission that shifted hard 9 months after I installed it. You may have guessed at this point, it failed in Vermont. My customer was reimbursed for the towing, given a rental car, and had hotel expenses paid until the vehicle was repaired. The second was a local customer that had the transmission fluid changed 30k after I installed it. The quickie oil change place left the oil pan bolts loose, the fluid ran out and the transmission burned up. Jasper was made aware of this and stil provided a new transmission. They did not have to do this, it was not Jaspers fault. If your local auto repair shop informs you that an engine or transmission needs replacement, inquire about Jasper products. If Jasper products are not offered, find another shop that will use them. I’d rather make less money on a job and offer my customer a better product(and be able to sleep at night), than to do the rebuilding myself, make more money and have a hard time sleeping.
