This place has some of the best food in the Jasper/Ponca area. Not much to look at on the outside but the food is wonderful. Tasty cheese burgers and perfect homemade desserts. The chocolate cake and berry pie were delicious.

Amazing food! I had the red snapper with capers in butter sauce with rice pilaf. Delicious! Service was spectacular. My first visit but plan to go again. They had live music on Saturday night when I was there… they did a good job too.

Stopped here on our way back to Fayetteville after floating the buffalo. Really great service with a very attentive staff. We got the chicken fettucinni alfredo and a bacon cheeseburger and both were amazing! The sign out front says wifi, but they do not. I didn’t have cell reception either! Great diner! Definitely recommend.

We have passed this place on our annual pilgrimage to the Elk Festival. Looked it up on Unilocal, great reviews, so we decided to try it. On the outside, it looks like a dive, on the inside, it looks like a dive, but the food is definitely worth overlooking the décor. We ordered off the lunch menu. My turkey avacado sandwich on chabatta was very fresh. My daughter’s cheeseburger was perfectly cooked and delicious. My husband had a tasty Monte Cristo. Who would have thought you could get a Monte Cristo in Low Gap, Ar?! The dinner menu looked amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try steak, pasta or catfish.

This place had great food and awesome service! So I was coming back from Kyles Landing when I noticed that this place has solar panels, so I pulled in with the girlfriend. I was just gonna ask the owner about the panels and take off. I thought it was a gas station. .. Turns out it was a restaurant! Marie was so nice that I decided to actually get some food(BBQ Sandwich was fantastic!). Look, a lifetime of experience informs this review: good food is hard to come by in Newton County, and this place delivers. Congrats to the Low Gap Café for being a great spot.

This place has awesome food! I’ve been hiking out in the Ponca/Boxley area for years but had never tried this café before and was incredibly surprised when I did. The food is not only delicious, but it’s presented in a fancy way(or at least fancy for podunk Arkansas). And it’s a good price too. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re anywhere near it!

We wouldn’t have stopped here if we hadn’t read the other reviews but we’re so glad we did. This is a hidden gem out in the middle no where but worth the drive. This is by far the best restaurant we have tried in along time. There were 3 of us for dinner on a Friday night had to wait a little while for a table. We ordered 3 meals one was the special which was prime rib and we thought this was the best we had ever had then we also had chicken fettuccine and shrimp carbonara and the were also very good. This is not a very big place so if you have to wait for a table you will not be disappointed. Service was very good and they were all very friendly. We will be going back even though we will over an hour drive to get there.

On our recent trip to the Ozark mountains the choices were kinda limited; this place was recommended to us by some locals. It’s definitely not a place you go for the ambiance, which if you were expecting to be part of the attraction you’re probably confused. The food here is the attraction, and it’s done well. They have lunch specials and a dinner menu. For lunch we had the habanero cheeseburger with mushrooms. It was really good, and not just cuz we were starving. The food was so good in fact, we’ll be going back tonight to try something off the dinner menu.

Wow, what a gem of a place in nowhere, AR. Seriously, Low Gap consists of this restaurant, a small church and I believe a post office building. We were staying in nearby Ponca and needed some grub since there is no where to eat in Ponca. We were directed here and so happy we were. It is an interesting menu on a chalfboard from Italian food to burgers to good old fashioned food. I had the best chicken fried steak served over mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. It was so good. Loved the bread and honey butter. My husband devoured his burger. The special of the night was a rack of ribs so we actually bought a rack with sides to have for dinner in our cabin the following night. Simply reheated on the grill. Good ribs. It definitely has a diner feel but was quite crowded and even had some live music… a few local«pickers» I am guessing who we enjoyed listening to play and sing some country and christian songs.
