One of my favorite places to go in Jasper for great beer, good food and mediocre service. Sorry but true. I’ve not once had a good experience with the wait staff, half of whom don’t know what most of the drinks we order are… and the bartender that had to ask me how to make a Long Island Iced Tea… seriously? That should be the first drink on you know by heart as a bartender! Having said that, the beer options are always great(but don’t ask your server to explain the in’s and out’s of the different flavors and types… they won’t know) and just having a microbrew option in Jasper is nice. We’ve always had a great experience with the food; pizza specifically. It’s made differently from the other pizza joints in town and there are many more options. I would definitely recommend this place. Hopefully your service is better than what I’ve experienced!

Excellent to see the Schnitzelbank folks bring brewing back to Jasper. You just know that decades ago this German dominated town was putting out lots of great beers before the Millers, and Coors, and He Who Shall Not Be Named-weisers took over. That being said. I actually don’t know what their beer tastes like because when I was researching this place during a Holiday visit I noticed they had home made root beer on tap. Yes please! Got a growler and we finished it off in no time. Filled up another Growler and took it with us back to Texas. If you’re hungry, along with other pub fare, they’ve got Rosie’s recipe pizza. If you’re a local that’s a good thing and you get excited. If you have no idea what that means, well, just rest assured that it’s really, really good pizza.

Awesome family owned brewery with the best view in town overseeing a prairie walk. The menu has some great new appetizers and german inspired pizzas. The beer selection is from breweries all over Indiana and they will have there own soon! Can’t wait!
