Decent amount of stuff to purchase to tide one over for a short snow trip at the nearby Jay Peak Resort. There’s all the basics you need from a grocery store. They also have a large selection of souvenirs and clothing. Compared to the Brault Slaughterhouse that’s also close by, the meat, pickled stuff and honey are a bit pricy.

We really enjoyed having this place handy. There’s not much going on in Jay and the on-mountain eateries are as pricey as eating at an amusement park or Disney on Ice. Not my cup of tea… I’d rather find a hole in the wall place. Anyway… the food was REALLY good at the deli, not cheap, but not going to break the bank either. The store has basically everything you might need within reason while on a trip away from home. It’s a gas station, has a coffee and hot chocolate station, candy jars, boxed food, frozen food, beer(some good and some blah) trinkets, clothing, touristy stuff… you name it. I took one star off because HOTDAMN are their t-shirts and chocolate expensive. The people that work there are very nice though. The lady at the deli was a little ‘all business and no party’ but that’s OK. She was still friendly enough. My husband and one of the people with us got The Slab sandwich and raved about it. It’s an 8 oz. cut of prime rib with SHTUFF on it. I had a big brownie/cake/cookie thing for dinner because I like to be healthy. :)

These guys were great! At 11am. a family of 6 were looking for breakfast, everywhere else was closed and setting up for lunch. The cooks extended breakfast to 12 noon, just so that we could have our French toast fix. Everything tasted great especially the home fries. probably the best home fries on the east coast. These guys saved the day.

We stopped in during our annual Vermont trip. We had been to the store before but we had never tried any of the food from the food counter. I had the Roast Beef & Blue Cheese Wrap, my wife had the Italian Wrap and our 2 friends had paninis. Everything was great, the price, the service and the food! All of the sandwiches were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised and we will definitely be back in the future!

Wondering where to go for a delicious reasonably priced meal? Go to the Jay Country Store! This quaint shop has everything, but the best part is the food. Family of 6 enjoyed an excellent dinner that pleased the whole family. The prime rib special was cooked perfectly — juicy and tender. My Kids kept asking for more. The Caesar salad was amazing. So many flavors on one plate. Yummy paninis, great burgers & pizza too. The service was so nice and accommodating. Whether you dine in or take out, you can’t go wrong with this place! We were surprised a general store had such fantastic food!

This place is amazing. Best gluten free sandwich I’ve ever had. Everyone there is lovely, and I am very thankful to the sandwich lady(apologies I didn’t get your name!!). Would love to spend more time hanging out in the dining area next time.

My husband and I were back here again 2÷28÷14−3÷2÷14. We stopped by here each day after snowboarding. We always get the jaybird and lumberjack paninis plus fresh baked cookies. YUMM! just thinking about it makes my mouth water :) the woman who makes us sandwiches makes it feel like we were at her home in her kitchen. she remembers us from our last visit a month ago! very friendly people. we tried their prime rib sandwich special one day and it was delicious too. we brought home some freshly made banana bread but it wasnt anything to write home about. must stop by here if you visit jay

Stopped here for gas and paid cash($ 3.99/gal for 89 octane) but they ended up charging me the $ 4.30/gal credit price anyway. I pointed this out to them but they insisted there was nothing they could do about it. Every other small town gas station manages not to mess this up– I’d recommend to keep on driving if you can make it.

Awesome store, handy for traveling, excellent staff, good prices, and great food! If you are not staying at the resort, this is the place to go! So if can’t make it to the new Provisions store at Jay peak Resort, you should stop by this place. It is excellent. However, as a germaphobe I am begging you all to clean up that bathroom, it is very nasty!

A must stop to and from Jay Peak. This is a classic country store with a little bit more — great breakfast and lunch selections with a comfortable small seating area. The typical country store offerings plus a decent selection of clothing, including Jay Peak memorabilia. We had breakfast and lunch there today, and we’ll be back first thing in the morning!

Stopped on Tuesday 2 – 28 while snowmobiling up in the area. They have all the essentials, a super deli, friendly staff. They offer all types of dry goods, clothing, lots of Vermont made items. Their outside wood carvings are impressive & provide good photo ops. I always like visiting the store in all seasons. Thanks for being on the VAST trail system!

Finding places to eat breakfast around Jay is a bit difficult and so this place is a gem. Hidden in the back of their store is a small deli and dining area. The prices are cheap for the amount of food you get and their breakfast is pretty damn delicious. Best french toast(slightly crunchy, moist, flavorful) I’ve ever had and the home fries are amazing. Keep this place in mind for last minute gas, gifts, maple syrup, breakfast and food to go. The homemade pies and soups look and smell great but I keep forgetting to order. Next time…

This place has kept me alive so many times, with ample supply of water, decent beer, fresh made chile, delicious and super cheap paninis, trail mix, and all kinds of snacks. They have a deli and a seemingly big wine selection too. Everything is pretty cheap, except beer which is pretty standard. I come here probably 1 – 2 times per day every time I’m in Jay. I’d say try ANYTHING they have that’s homemade.

You kind of have to love this place, mainly because if you are staying in the jay peak area, it’s the closest gas station, restaurant, beer and wine store, and grocery store. Pretty much has everything you need to survive with a hefty convenience fee. A couple in line in front of me bought some deli meat, milk, eggs, wine, bread, and I hope gas for their car, because their tab was almost $ 100 bucks. It’s a really nice shop while it doesn’t offer a lot of variety of the same product, it does have a lot of variety if you want to cook something up in your rental, or suite at the tram house. Also has jay peak swag, winter survival swag, and a bunch of other stuff. So definitely stop by and gas up!
