It’s ice cream, how can you go wrong? Cramped parking lot and during the summer it can get dicey! Should be open all year!

So, this is probably a little unfair to this particular DQ, because in fairness I am anti ALL DQs, but we were here on Sunday after an outing and stopped for a treat. I feel like we got tricked instead. My mom and sister opted for the Pumpkin Pie Blizzards,(which as a rule I feel are a bogus waste of money because they hardly put anything in them and they all taste the same) but these were particularly cinchy. They have graham in them(as crust) and my sister had so few that she would tell us when she found one, «Found one», «Ooo there was a piece of one!» I swear I counted six. I got my daughter a «hot fudge» sundae and I was really annoyed at the amount of hot fudge. There was a thin ribbon around the edge. That was it. Just a smear. And to top it off they UP-CHARGED for the whip cream and cherry! WTF? Are you kidding? Aren’t sundaes supposed to come with whip cream and a cherry??? Like really? What is wrong in this country that a sundae no longer comes with whip cream and a cherry!!! Ugh. Like I said, I hate all DQs, because I feel like they are a complete and total rip off; the blizzards keep getting smaller and smaller, they put less and less in them, and the prices keep going up and up. I am willing to pay top dollar for the hand made gelato up the street, but not crappy soft serve with a drop of hot fudge. The only redeeming quality was at least they were nice as they robbed my blind…

Dairy Queen offers their franchises different variations of the ice cream. The one in Jeannette is clearly using the best grade. The ice cream here tastes like the ice cream from your youth compared to the cool whip like substance that the other local DQs use.

Having been to only a few other Dairy Queens, I’m going out of a limb here by saving this is probably the best location. Anywhere. Yes, this is partially because I have fond childhood memories of this place, but they also have seasonal specialities that aren’t found at other Dairy Queens. Red raspberry blizzards during the summer? Caramel apple sundaes in the fall? Yes, please. The people who work here are also super friendly. I go whenever I’m in town visiting family(though this location is only open a limited time during the year).

I have heard rumors around town that no DQs compare to this location. I have lived in the area my whole life, and I can honestly say I have never visited this«Ice-cream only» location. However, a few nights ago my friends and I ventured here to try some ice cream, and I am damn happy we did because I think I now know what a blizzard is supposed to taste like. I honestly did not even want ice cream, but after trying a bite of my friends blizzard, my stomach over powered my brain and begged for the yummy goodness. Not to mention, this location has unique blizzard flavors that I have never seen before: fresh raspberries, banana cake, strawberry cake, and much much more! I opted for the banana cake plus a little bit of peanut butter. I think after having this cup of ice cream, I will drive the extra miles to this location rather than visit the nearer location that barely blends the ingredients into the ice cream.
