We used this firm at the recommendation of Carnegie Mellon, where they were a preferred vendor, to move from Pittsburgh to Boston. A number of problems arose re the professionalism of the packing services, which required a manager to come out and try to fix. They were initially responsive; however, the errors were fairly amateur and unprofessional. The real problems arose after an accident during the move. The moving crew failed to tether one of the large rear steel doors with a safety strap. As a result, it was able to be moved by a wind gust when I was standing behind the truck hitting me with tremendous force in the back. Fast forward, 13 months later neither Maroadi nor their insurer has paid for a penny of thousands of dollars in medical expenses, let alone treatment and pain and suffering. This is despite diagnoses by multiple doctors of serious and long-term debilitating injuries caused by the trauma. Maroadi just keeps kicking it to their insurance company(Vanlines) and has done nothing to accept responsibility or try to make the situation right even after being repeatedly notified in writing that their insurer is not performing and misrepresenting documented facts. The bottom line is that the character of a company and its owners and leadership can be characterized by their intent and attempts to do the right thing. By that gauge, Maroadi has done nothing. My opinion is they are a company that should not be in business and we would never hire them again.

I wish there was a negative star option. These movers were chosen because they were a Mayflower company I was moving out of state and thought a big company would take better care of my furniture. They damaged both furniture and my old and new house. The driver admitted the damage to me but when I asked for reimbursement. He changed his story. They continued to try and delay my claim. I provided complete documentation. The manager Mr Jenkins. Sounded pleasant but when it came down to settlement the owner refused. I wrote to the president of Mayflower who deflected responsibility. My furniture and home suffered significant damage so my advice is to look for a more reputable mover
