This is one of our top 2 restaurants in the entire Jefferson City area. If you want a relaxing, quiet, and unique meal, this is a place for you. This is a moderately upscale establishment in a very historical building. Their menu has some very unique items you will not find anywhere else in town. Outstanding steaks, wonderful fish, any too many others to mention. They also have a unique and tasty special every day. Enjoy!

Coriander encrusted tuna sashimi with pickled ginger and Wasabi was excellent. Could have used more ginger but wasabi perfectly hot. The soup of the day was a chicken tortilla soup, served hot and really good, veggies in it not overcooked. The salad was cold and crisp, romaine lettuce red cabbage carrots and homemade poppyseed dressing was terrific. Lose points for the bread however. Entrée of bacon wrapped sea scallops with corn relish had just enough heat, really good. The pear salad with steak added, just ok Nice wine menu, pear martini my husband liked, not so much for me. Coffee good, desserts good. 7 out of 10 for me.

Beautiful place with great history… Food was great with service to match. The salads were large and the seafood was very fresh.

Great location and great staff. Nice historic feel, but food was a little disappointing. They have a good wine selection, beer is very limited. Appetizer recommendation would be the mushroom or onion bread. Steak for MO was not great, but garlic mash was ok.

Gorgeous historic building near the Capitol… great ambiance… original hardwood floors, apparently, it dates to the late 1800s and was a mercantile. I was in Jefferson City for a work training, and could have gone to any number of strip mall takeout places along Missouri Blvd., but I really like something with a sense of history. This place is gorgeously restored, even with the big, storefront plate glass windows. Very cool building. However, the look of the place only gets you so far if your food’s no good. Not the case, here. We got in before any dinner rush, and our party was was greeted really warmly… very nice waitstaff. Our meals were super promptly prepared… I ordered the pasta primavera, which unexpectedly came with a parma rosa type sauce… I was expecting olive oil and maybe a little cheese, but this was a welcome surprise. Did not skimp on the vegetables, either. big broccoli florets, loads of roasted pepper, zucchini, yellow squash, onion… and a HUGE amount. The garlic toast was flavorful, and the salad, served with house balsamic, was delicious. The price was fair for a sit-down, non-chain place, as well. Charming and tasty, win-win.

Efficient, friendly service, cute servers. The steak was a bit tough, very good service.

Nice atmosphere. Crappy service and mediocre food. I’ve had much better food and better service at half the price. Go somewhere else.

Had evening meal here at the end of January. I had grilled pork loin with sweet potato for the main course. It was awesome. Our party of four was seated promptly, we received a very warm welcome by the hostess. Our waitress seemed a little inexperienced but she got everything just right on our orders. All of us were very pleased with our dinner choice. The setting has ambiance not found in the chain restaurants, prices seemed in line with the quality of the food and our evening was very enjoyable. This may be a hidden gem in Jefferson City.

Had lunch today at 1:30pm and I ordered the turkey club with jalapeño mustard, fries and the pickle. The club was on the house wild yest onion bread(not sure why wild has anything to do with it). Sandwich was great warm with some very tasty bacon lettuce and jalapeño mustard. Fries were just fries and of course the pickle came from a jar. I would rate it above average for taste and order the jalapeño mustard when you go it would be good on pretty much anything I even dipped in a fry and that was also good. The friend I was with purchased two bottles of the jalapeño mustard to take home(call ahead or let them know ahead of time because they make this in house and sometimes they do not have extra to sell only what is in stock to use in house) Staff was nice but leave yourself extra time cause it was a bit slow for us being the only table at 1:30 in the place. So if you only have an hour for lunch go somewhere else or call ahead and place your order. If you have time then its worth the wait.

Had lunch there. It took 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. We went there for a quick lunch but, it probably took an hour and 15 or 20 minutes. But it was pretty good and cheap. We all had various sandwiches and agreed they tasted pretty good. The potato chips were meh. The place looks a bit fancy.

Excellent steaks and the best Ranch Dressing in town. They are an ALLSMOKEFREE restaurant which is wonderful. The service is very good, and the food is even better. It’s in a small storefront but there is lots of room and even if there is a wait the food is worth waiting for.
