West Main Pizza

Too expensive! Went for the first time based on other Unilocal comments thot we would have a different experience. We were not impressed. The pizza is okay, tho nothing special, and definitely not worth the price. We ordered large pizza, side salad and soft drinks — cost was $ 33. Much too expensive. The salads were just so so and quite small — $ 4 each! The dining room was extremely cold and we did not know there is another seating area in the back. The people who work there did not explain there was more seating (perhaps warmer) and we also noticed others coming in got some special for the day but no one had mentioned that to us when we got ready to place our order. The main thing we were told was «be sure to get your own plates and silverware before you sit down.» We will not return. I don’t see how they will stay in business unless they reduce their pizza price and have better serving sizes. Gave them 2 stars because I felt they had made a 2 star effort to try to give a good meal. This place does not deserve more than that rating.

This place is fine. Maybe I expected more because of the rave reviews, as I always use Unilocal to choose where to eat when out of town. Pizza was good, maybe a little greasy but not tons. Less sauce then I would like. We got plain cheese because of my daughter so that leaves little to comment on. We picked it up to go and ate in our room. We also ordered the cheesy garlic breadsticks. They are also thin crust like all the pizzas, and they are cut thin, about ¾″ wide. They are basically the same as the cheese pizza but a little more garlicky and you dip in the sauce, which I preferred so I could get more sauce. They were good but still nothing above average to justify even 4 stars. I like that it’s different from the chains, which I usually try to avoid, and I like the feel of the owners from the website, and the little interaction we had with employees was all very nice. But as much as I’d love to give more stars, our admittedly boring order just didn’t warrant it. I have nothing bad to say, though if in town again, I’d probably try a different place instead of ordering here again.

My husband order this for a family meal. The wait was long and I had heard a lot of good things about the food. Of the three pizzas we ordered, I believe the price was close to if not over $ 50. That was outrageous. When I tried a bite, I didn’t care for the sauce at all. Also, the food gave me a stomach ache afterwards. I will not be going back to this place.

We were on a quick trip to our home town after being gone for at least 2 years. This place was recommended. Loved the vibe when I walked in. Very clean and bright. The staff was helpful and friendly. We shared a pizza and it was A-​mazing! They brush a delicious herb/​butter sauce on the edge of the crust. So good!

Love West Main Pizza! The breadsticks are phenomenal. Especially the pineapple and banana pepper. Best pizza is the Urban, but the Tree Hugger is great too. I’m there at least once a week.

Buttery thin crust you have to try. And the gourmet breadsticks are a home run. The Perfect Stranger with the house dressing is phenomenal. Don’t forget the cinnamon dessert breadsticks. So yummy.

Pleasantly surprised by this off the beaten path pizza place. The pizza we ordered was cooked great, good sauce, tasty buttery garlic crust. Cinnamon stick dessert was delicious as well. Will definitely be coming back!

This pizza was great and the cheesy garlic bread was even better. We ordered the «Man’s» pizza because it is all meat even though there were two ladies and one man in our group. They should have a better name for their carnivore pizza. It was my first time there and it was the first time as a non carryout for the people I was with. It is slightly confusing for first timers, we sat and were told that you order at the counter. So now we know. I would definitely like to have more of their pizza. It is a very thin crust with garlic butter spread on the edges. The cheese and garlic bread is so flaky like a buttery cracker with a lot of cheese on top. So good. There aren’t too many non chain pizza places in Jeff City and this one is a nice addition.

Great thin crust pizza and super fresh salads made the way you want them. Friendly staff and a good selection of beer. They also have gluten free crust so give them a try.

My family and I have ate there a couple of times and the pizza is REALLY good! The staff is courteous, and the restaurant as a whole is very clean and cozy. We weren’t expecting anything special, but were pleasantly surprised. The crust has a buttery garlic taste that IMO is great! Just try it for yourself

Like the atmosphere and décor. They have done good things with the renovated building.
We entered and ordered at the counter. Later sine other people cane in and at at tables, confused about the fact that they needed to order at the counter. The staff saw them but no n one offered to assist our explain to them how the place works, so they sat there for awhile before figuring it out.
The menu is very limited. I was in the mood for a salad but they don’t offer salads.
We started with the cheesy garlic breadsticks. They were very good but swimming in grease.
My husband chose the «man pizza», which is all meat. The pizza was very good, though not quite as good as the breadsticks.
It’s good pizza. Not the best. When I have the time I will still drive to Shakespeare’s, but if not then we may return here.

This place just opened a couple months. I must say I was impressed by the restaurant. My visit occurred on a busy Saturday afternoon (peak lunch hours) and the restaurant was packed. However our food arrived quickly and it was absolutely delicious! The pizza is very good but the cheesy garlic breadsticks are AMAZING! I highly suggest trying out the breadsticks when visiting. The restaurant is very clean and bright, a fun place to dine.

I have a new favorite pizza place in J.C., and it is west main pizza. They have a unique crust that is to die for, and they are quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had! I so far have tried the urban bbq pizza with jalapeños, i normally do not care for bbq pizza, but their’s rocks! Also got a Hawaiian pizza, so nice for a place to actually have Canadian bacon and not merely ham. It was excellent as well. Only complaint is the price, little high and they should offer a 2 for price reduction. But the taste is so good I will definitely return!

We ordered pizza last weekend, very good! Ingredients fresh, but would recommend baking pizza little longer, crust was a bit soggy.

We got two pizzas, the urban & the tree hugger, and both were fantastic! The prices are very reasonable (and while employees bring your food out and stop by, tips are not necessary). It’d be a great atmosphere for families, dates, & sports watchers. Although my group didn’t order drinks, they had a good selection. Nice employees, too.

Not only the best pizza in Jefferson City, but some of the best pizza I’ve had. Yes, the menu is limited, but that is a very good thing. Concentrate on doing one thing well. They do. Since opening, we’ve been 4 times and it is consistently great. Busy, yes, but worth it. Give them time to get the staffing and logistics right and you’ll love it, too.

Best new pizza place in town. Not sure what is up with the other reviews. New places need time to work out issues. Other pizza places have similar prices. Will be coming back. The place is bright and clean with a modern look. A new Jefferson City tradition.
