Skating, you ask? You betcha. I haven’t been inline skating for about 15 years; and I haven’t been old school skating in probably closer to 25 years. Fun! Within the two hours or so I skated, I got back into the swing of things with only about four spills. Not bad for a 40+ year old, I say. Facilities are clean. Staff is mostly young and seems friendly enough. They have plenty of table seating, concessions, party room, arcade, and the tubes for the kids to climb in. The rink is typical size and seems newer. Now the most important part. The shoes. I have wide feet and even when I go up in sizes, they still wind up killing my feet at most places. Here? Not so. I went up 1 size from what I normally wear; and they were just fine, almost comfortable in fact. I skated the whole time without foot incident. I understand the women’s shoe sizes run large here and the men’s run small. These skates, at least the regular 4 wheeled type, are easy and quick to lace up and seem to have some padding as well. Several birthday parties were going on this afternoon. It’s why we were there too. Mostly kids of all ages on the skate floor but some older kids and adults as well. Glad to see other adults enjoying the activities too! All and all a great way to spend the afternoon and listen to some great skating tunes while you’re at it.
