I have been putting off this review update for some time now. But I still need to talk about this place. This review update is regarding the service that I received here at Riverbend Brewhouse. I was a regular here for a long time. I came in over a dozen times. I remember there was this tall lady that wore a fedora hat. She was always so polite and pleasant. I remember the lady had a happy go lucky attitude and a quirky personality. I don’t know if she quit or got fired. But anyways she was replaced by one of the most rude bartenders I ever met. I don’t know where the owners found this lady maybe a dive bar in the french quarter or possibly a redneck honky-tonk joint in Texas but sheesh she has one awful attitude. I found this out on my last 2 trips to this place. First incident: I went in to grab a beer. I sat down in a bar stool and the new bartender walked by me twice. She walked over and sat down in a chair and started flipping channels. I looked up at her and said,“excuse me miss”. She gave me an evil look and said,“Yeah what do you want”? Honestly that’s no way to talk to a customer! Even though she acted like that I still ordered a beer. I figured that maybe I had caught her on a bad day or something and I would come back at a later day and time. Second incident: This was the last time I was at Riverbend. It was 9:30 p. m on a Saturday night. I came in and saw the same female bartender as well as one of the owners sitting down at on the customers side of the bar. She instantly got defensive and said, «I am closing the bar down in 10 minutes». Seriously, closing the bar down that early on a Saturday night? That makes absolutely no business sense. I think it would be feasible to keep it open until midnight. But I guess its not my bar. Undaunted by this outburst I still sat down. She repeated the same exact phrase again. I looked at her and said,” I heard you the first time”! She repeated the same phrase again. I said nothing. During the fifth time she said,” I am closing the bar down in 10 minutes” she used a very hateful tone of voice. This angered me to the point that I told her,“screw you I will go somewhere else”. What pissed me off is the fact that one of the owners just sat there and did nothing through that whole incident. Very courageous of him for NOT sticking up for one of his customers. When I left there I ended up going to Applebee’s to get my drink on. I have decided that I am permanently done with Riverbend. I don’t care if they fire that surly, hateful bartender. I do not have any desire to return to this establishment. Additionally I spoke with a few other people at different bar on Jefferson Hwy about this place. They told me that they had went through similar experiences as me. Whatever the case Riverbend has ended up like its predecessors Good Food, but horrible customer service! As a side note there is nothing more demeaning than having to go get your drink on at Applebee’s!!! Update 4÷13÷13: This place is permanently closed! Let that be a lesson to the former owners on what happens when you let your employees be rude to customers. Now it is a new restaurant called«The Recovery Room». Hopefully these guys don’t fall into the same trap as the last 3 business owners.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 New Orleans, LA
What a deal on crawfish — 5lbs, potato, corn, and 6 beers for 23 bucks! Amazing!!! Tried the crawfish this weekend, and it was good. Spicy and tasty. I really had a good time eating and drinking here. It’s a pretty big spot — with a huge private room in the back. The atmosphere is not much to write home about except there are many tables and a long bar. I will be back though, I thought the crawfish was tasty and good and such a steal. Apparently Steak Night is Wednesday– I have not tried yet.
