Food was good as usual, fish was a little greasy this time that’s why I didn’t give them five stars

I’m a big fan of fried fish so I thought I’d give them a try since I’ve tried their competitor down the street. The fried cod was fantastic. It had the perfect amount of batter for a nice crunch and it wasn’t dripping with oil either. The fries were standard frozen fries that were fried to order. Nothing special about the cole slaw or bread. Maybe I’ll ask for my bread toasted and buttered next time if that’s an option. Their location is convenient and there’s plenty of parking available. They come off as a very generic fried fish joint. The competitors in the area are not any better so I’m giving them 4 stars for decent food for a decent price.

Fish sandwich was very good and hot, with a crispy, mild coating. Bread was nothing special but served its purpose. Sandwich needs to be eaten at a table(as opposed to a moving car) because these are real filets, not tidy little squares like you get at McD’s. Fries are real, not handcut, but they don’t have that coating to them like you get at some of the chains. Onion rings get an A+. The sweet onion doesn’t pull out of the mildly seasoned, crunchy coating(like it was a sleeve) when you’re eating them. Num!

I don’t expect a lot from places that serve you on paper plates, but I was pleasantly surprised by Moby Dick Seafood. My partner in crime and I had gotten it into our heads and stomachs that fish and chips(and ONLY fish and chips) would satiate our hunger. After driving by several restaurants on a Sunday night only to find them closed, Moby Dick saved the day! We each had the one-piece cod and fries. I can’t comment on the other items on the menu. The food was good, the service quick and we were happy. As noted by another reviewer, everything is fried, so don’t expect to order anything that isn’t yellow. So, if you aren’t looking for healthy seafood, but you still want tasty seafood, this is a pretty good bet.

Good, quick food for an independent fish place. Only drawback is that its all fried; there are no broiled or grilled selections. Clean restrooms.
