My go to place in Jeffersonville. I generally have a pulled pork sandwich(fantastic) but today I had half a rack of ribs. Smokey, fell off the bone, nice sauce. Extremely content. And the waitresses, couldn’t ask for nicer!

So good! We stopped here after seeing the pictures in the reviews. We had a side salad(get the house ranch bbq I think), dry rub wings, a pork pulled sandwich, and a butterfly sandwich. Kerri was our server and she was great, we were completely satisfied, food beer, so happy. We came in 10 minutes before the kitchen closed(sorry guys) and we were not rushed at all. Anyway, all the food and beer was great, all the sauces were tasty and it was inexpensive anyone who doesn’t give it 5 stars is a jerk.

I have never written a review this bad. Worst pulled pork I have ever had. Dry with chucks of fat. Beans were just canned and slaw was soupy with too much mayo. Even my drink, sweet pig?, was watered down. Thoroughly disappointing and generally gross. Avoid, avoid avoid

Solid barbecue spot, earning a bonus star for friendly, attentive staff, soccer on the bar TVs, and heavenly homemade strawberry rhubarb pie. The pork loin sandwich was good, if not spectacular, while the brisket sandwich was excellent — tender and tasty. with a deep smoky flavor. Crispy onion rings, cold beer and a(truly) spicy sauce rounded things out nicely. Lively local crowd. Convenient to the Fairfield Inn next door. And did I mention the pie? Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved it!!! The pulled pork was tender, delicious and, in combination with the special signature mustard sauce, sublime. Great choice of sides and very kind staff. Definitely will be back.

The BBQ is very good and like most people say on here the mustard BBQ is definitely delicious. I got the ribs with macaroni and mashed potatoes, the food was good. It was strangely hot in the bar area like the a/c was not on and I noticed a few other patrons looked red in the face too, one was sweating. The beer selection was lacking and the amber ale I got tasted flat, like no one had drank from that keg in a good long while. Service was mediocre started out very slow almost 20mins with a menu before being asked if I made my mind up. Overall a fairly decent experience saved by the over average BBQ

Great food with good service. Had the Sampler Platter — good volume of food with great taste. All around good experience.

I was surprised to find really good barbecue kinda in the middle of nowhere. I’ve been here twice in the last two days for dinner. I actually ordered the pulled pork both times since it was so good. I had both their sweet and spicy sauce and thought both were incredible and the spicy is actually pretty hot. My only recommendation would be avoid potato wedges as they seemed a little undercooked but the Mac and cheese side was great. I’ll probably be back again tonight.

Really good BBQ. Had the chicken sandwich and«Saratoga Chips»(basically fancy Ruffles). Needed speedy service, and they accommodated nicely. Would stop here again. Better choice than the«chains» nearby. Be sure to try the sweet mustard sauce

Healthy portions. Probably the best BBQ they have here. Prior reviews note the dry spice texture, confirmed. It’s not Memphis BBQ or Carolina BBQ or even Texas BBQ, it’s Ohio. It’s good. It’s different. I had the bean & ham soup as an appetizer and the loaded skins with pulled pork as the entrée. My husband had the ribs and cole slaw and potato salad as sides. The sweet tea was good, not bitter. Nice. I appreciate it. We turned down the chocolate mousse house special as we are on sugar overload from our trip to confectionary palace in nearby Indiana. I’d come back again if we pass through these parts. Give these folks your business!

My wife and I stopped there a few nights ago on our way down I-71. I had the smoked brisket. My wife had the pulled pork. Both had a nice smokiness. My brisket was a bit dry… well, more than a bit. The sides were mediocre. Service was good once we did get seated. It took awhile to get a table even though there were several available. I think they were just short staffed at the time. Service was quick and friendly once we were seated. I’d recommend the place, certainly over the plethora of fast food operations that are your alternative at this exit near the outlet mall.

From the moment we walked on we were greeted with kindness and happy hostesses. We had a short wait time but were seated before expected. Out server was very pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. Goodness served prompt and fresh. We even ordered dessert because it was made in house and WOW that was fantastic! We hope to travel through sometime just to dine there again.

Stopped by with the family after IKEA and before Tanger Outlet shopping. So I may have been a bit annoyed already as I hate shopping. Anyway, I had the sampler platter which is the gamut of their BBQ: pulled pork, brisket, ¼ slab of ribs, and half a pork chop. All of the items in the preceding sentence except the ribs had a common theme… DRY. Even the cornbread was dry. The pork chop was the least enjoyable as it was a tough piece of leather. The ribs were okay, but not memorable. For sides the green beans were okay, and the highlight of the meal were the onion rings. The wife’s chicken sandwich looked pretty good. On the plus side the staff was very pleasant and attentive.

Not what I was expecting. This place is really good. Everything tastes homemade(except the green beans and dinner roll, no big deal though) and all 4 meats on my sampler were awesome. Pulled pork was very flavorful, not too greasy. Brisket was equally delicious. Pork loin was nice and juicy. Ribs had a really good flavor. BBQ sauce is just right. Onion rings weren’t overly breaded or fried. Great.

This place must have changed since the last couple of reviews. All the servers were very nice and they have sweet tea. My son and I had the pulled pork sandwich. He had Mac n cheese which was very good and I had waffle fries which were better than Chic Fila’s. I really like mustard based sauces and they had a good mustard sauce. The pork was delicious and the buns were grilled(love when places do this). I am from TN and have eaten BBQ in nearly every state and think I can rate BBQ pretty well… Most of my reviews involve BBQ. The pulled pork was good and there was a lot of if. Combined with good sauce, good sides, grilled buns, and REAL brewed sweet tea, this place rates a 5. Especially for being in the middle of nowhere. I almost didn’t eat here because of a few other reviews. I’m glad I stayed.

This place provided such a comforting atmosphere. There are pigs scattered behind the front counter and whereabouts. When we arrived an older woman probably in her late sixties greeted and seated us right away. We explained that we had never been here before and she talked to us like we were lifelong customers. We were also introduced to the three kinds of barbeque they have, a kind of mild, medium and hot bbq. I got the pulled pork, waffle fries, and macaroni and cheese which all turned out great. I was too full for dessert but I’m willing to bet it was just as tasty. I would have never known about this place if it hadn’t been for my gps and my open mind. I’m constantly looking for new food places to try and this definitely met standards. It also was nice that Werner’s was so close to Tanger Outlets.

Werner’s Smoke House BBQ is positioned exactly as it should be… among a myriad of fast-food entities that surround the Tanger Outlet Mall. This alone should give this neat, clean little BBQ house a chance for more wins than losses. The restaurant was clean and the men’s room(ahem…) was very clean. Job No. 1 is cleanliness in a «country kitchen». Grade A! The staff at my large booth(serving five hungry men) was very good. Brought soft drinks(no teas) and checked in with us as we were slow to order due to it being a meeting. Eventually we ordered and the server remained pleasant and smiling. My order? Pulled Pork Hotshot which was pulled pork, smashed potatoes & gravy, corn and Texas Toast. The meal was hot, almost steamy, and the pork was succulent. I was happy. Others ordered the Beef Brisket sandwich which came with waffle fries. One switched out fries for green beans and, while the server got it wrong, they were ‘johnny on the spot’ to bring the beans quickly. No one said«boo» about the food being anything but goooooooood. Cost was decent. The meal was $ 12 including soft drink. I will say that Werner’s had plenty of squirt bottles on the table; medium BBQ, mustard BBQ and hot BBQ. I chose #3 and it was spicey — liked it a lot. Me thinks Werner’s does a nice job with BBQ. It’s not Memphis. It’s not Carolina. It’s not Georgia or Mississippi BBQ. But who is in Ohio? Werner’s should get your business if you want to taste BBQ after the mall visit.
