Dr. Steven Moriconi doesn’t even deserve one star. After I got my wisdom teeth removed, I was in extreme amounts of pain. I went to him and he told me I had an infection, and despite the fact that I suggested I could also have a dry socket, he insisted that I did not. After many more days of suffering, I went back to him and he told me I had a dry socket. He repeatedly shot me with novocaine shots, despite the fact that I was screaming crying. He wouldn’t give me a break but continued to inject my mouth. He didn’t seem to care about my condition at all until he found out my father was a doctor. Do not go to him. He is awful and doesn’t care about his patients.

Dr. Steven Moriconi is a fantastic oral surgeon. I had first sought an opinion from a different oral surgeon who had told me under no uncertain terms that I needed to have surgery — and he had told me he would not be able to use anesthesia. I went to Dr. Moriconi expecting a similar experience, but instead he gave me a few options, described the pros and cons of each, and said if I did decide on surgery he would only do it in a hospital under anesthesia because there would be no way to get me comfortable enough otherwise. What a relief! The day of my appointment Dr. Moriconi had called my dentist to talk about my case before he even saw me. That really impressed me. For now I decided not to do anything(which was one of the options) and I will see how my condition progresses. He says it might take care of itself and as long as I am not in pain or discomfort there’s no reason I shouldn’t wait and see. He is not aggressive with the knife and that suits me just fine. The entire staff at his practice was professional, friendly, and very helpful through every step of the way. I’m so glad I got that second opinion!
