Went for a breakfast, ordered pancakes, came out not cooked, instead of giving us new pancakes they just gave us the same ones, and the best part, they asked us for the table, cause we’ve been there for a while, and the table is reserved. We just laughed and left. will never go back there again.

Great food, great service. If there’s something you want and it’s not on the menu just ask! They can probably accommodate you. Mary is great. She made me feel like I was right at home.

My friends and I were there for the first time on a Saturday morning a few weekends ago and the food was fine and the service was average. As the place began to get more crowded and a line developed, we were actually KICKEDOUT of the place because we had just finished and paid and they needed the table… A waitress who was not our server came over to us and told us that since we were done and the bill was paid, «her line was going out the door and we should go.» Um excuse me? We had JUST finished paying, and got rushed out of there before we even got to finish our water! What terrible service. We will not be going there ever again. The place is too small, but that is not the customers fault whatsoever. So rude we couldn’t believe it.

This little place is tucked away in a kind of odd little place on Old York Rd. It’s a homey little diner w/solid hangover breakfast food. The servers are on top of things, very efficient and quick to refill water and coffee. I had both the basic eggs, bacon, and potatoes AND the lox and bagel platter(I like to eat). Nothing fancy, but still yum. The interior could use a facelift, but it’s not bad. All in all, a nice weekend breakfast place!

This is in my opinion the best place for a home cooked meal away from home. The meals are fantastic. The staff is kind and friendly. They make everyone feel welcome and at home. Joey is always there to greet you. I highly recommend this establishment.

I was a bit worried about coming here at 10am on a Saturday, but it wasn’t too crowded and my party sat down with no wait. Ate a pretty average egg and potato scramble, the Country Scramble, with some wheat toast. Nice and cheesy, but the eggs were a tad overcooked. Ordered waters came to our table with the food, perhaps a little late for a nit-picky diner but it didn’t really matter because the food was there in less than 8 or so minutes. The place has a home-y«local» feel to it. One customer next to our party was greeted by name by the waitress. Relatively clean place with a laid-back atmosphere. Have to try out some pancakes to give the place a fair breakfast/brunch review so until next time Joey Tate’s…

Great and friendly service you expect from a neighborhood diner. I had Country breakfast which was good. Colleen was really nice.

Place was really good and the server Colleen was really nice and on top of it. I had the combination breakfast and my friends had the country breakfast and the egg white and veggie omelet. We all really liked the food.

I really wanted to like this place due to the lack of quality diners in the neighborhood. Though the menu is extensive and reasonable our service and food was another story. My pancakes were burnt and I’m pretty sure or waitress was indulging on alcoholic beverages prior to her shift. And to make matters worst they informed us that their credit card machine was broken after giving us our check. This would have been an important thing to tell us when we came in as there is no ATM in the restaurant and they made us walk to one next store which ended up costing us $ 6 is surcharges! No accommodations were made for their own error, you could simply call my credit card in or take a check. Will never go back.

This was our 1st time eating at Joey’, it was okay. The coffee and breakfast sausage was very good but the pancakes were only okay. I thought the service staff would be friendlier but over all I would come back for a second visit.

Well i have been here a few times over the last couple of years the food is good but lcan use some spicing up in the décor. I have not returned for months because the menu never changes which is quite dissappointing. If you are looking for a quick good meal this is the place for you but if you want a great meal with variety you would have to go elsewhere. Some of the waitresses were not in happy moods there at times.

When I just want a good hearty meal to fill my belly, Joey Tate’s is where I go. The atmosphere is like a homey diner and as soon as you walk in the door the lovely staff greet you warmly and tell you to sit anywhere you’d like. My go to meal is a breakfast sandwich which is always huge and piled high or for lunch I get a special or chicken salad sandwich. Not to mention their prices are very reasonable!

After Driving around for 10 min, I finally found joey tate’s. One of those hidden spots. After I arrived, I was to be the only one in there, but was early. Started to get packed around 9am or so. The inside is clean and nice seating with much space. I thought the waitress could have been alittle bit nicer. I guess it was just one of those bad mornings. I ordered the French toast with bacon and coffee. It was good. Bacon could have been alittle more crispy and so the French toast could of to. All and all it was okay. The Half & Half for the coffee was warm. Must have been sitting out for along time. And not refrigerated. Prices are average, I will have to give this place a try again, mabe in the near future and try something esle for breakfast! And hopefully have a better experience.

Very good food at a very good price. We have visited twice and my kids usually order«breakfast for dinner»(pancakes or french toast and some breakfast meat) while my wife and I have stuck to sandwiches on our two visits, including Burgers on «Burger Night»($ 5.95 with 4 toppings and FF) — Monday night is Burger Night. Good/friendly service as well.

The more I go, the more it’s a hit or miss… potatoes were on the edge of being hard and burnt. I like my potatoes browned, but not so hard and… sausages were definitely burnt on both sides. Complained to mgr and they made it right… and replaced the sausage… two eggs scrapple and potatoes… two eggs sausage and potatoes. Ordered grits during two visits to give them a try… lumpy not good. I would still go back, but I know what to expect now.

I really wanted to give this place one star but when it came down to it, I had to think of the cleanliness, and presentation of food which were both okay. I came here with a party of 8 one Sunday morning and the restaurant was EMPTY. When I told the waitresses that we would be 8 people they looked annoyed and told me to wait while they push the tables together. It was 10:30 am and there was a vacuum cleaner out in the middle of the floor as if they had just been cleaning(which I thought was soo unprofessional). When it came down to the service, the waitresses were the most miserable women I have ever had wait on me. They made the whole party feel as though we were inconveniencing them and mind you, there were no more than 5 other tables in the restaurant. I ordered a mushroom and cheese omelette which was terrible(thank god I brought a protien bar with me) but everyone else said their food was«acceptable» I will NOT be back.
