We purchased a fence to enclose our pool area in February of 2004. This spring upon entering the pool area, the magnetic latch broke locking me inside. I called Amendola with a request that the lock be replaced as the fence was still under warranty.
A mechanic came and looked at the fence, assured me that yes, it was still under warranty and told me that he would order the new latch and return to replace it. That was WELL over a month ago and after three appointments, and three no shows, I realized that they had no intention of replacing the latch.
As a last resort I called again yesterday and explained that I would be writing a review on Unilocal because others had a right to know that this company does not stand behind its’ work. The gentlemen asked that I please wait and give him an opportunity to get to the bottom of the situation. As expected, I never got a call back.
Our fence cost well over $ 8,000 and I believe that after one year (six months if you figure that you are not in the pool all winter) this company should have replaced the latch without question.
