Received the same letter as the previous posters. I actually called ICG and got to speak to a representative. He wanted to know what my interest rate is, which I didn’t see relevant. As soon as I posed that question to him, he promptly hung up the phone.

Received the same FHP MIP Reduction Pursuant as the previous poster. This just shows that you need to read everything you receive before taking any sort of action.
At least this company is wasting their money while providing us with some nice fire starting materials for our fireplace.

I was disappointed to see a mass mailing from InterContinental Capital Group («ICG») sent via UPS alleging to offer Mortgage Insurance Premium («MIP») reductions for FHA mortgages. The letter included a memo from the from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, but the letterhead did not reference ICG and instead featured a «Equal Housing Lender» logo. Not until the final sentence of the letter did ICG reference that it is not affiliated with the current lender nor is it an agency of the federal government. What a sneaky way for a mortgage lender to solicit new refinance opportunities…
