Horrible place! I got highlights and after telling the girl to do as close to the root as possible, I had half inch of dark roots after. I went back to get it fixed 2 days later after everyone told how bad my hair looks. She then re-highlighted the root and charged me extra for a glaze, then sent me home to blow dry my own hair. Long story short, my hair at end looked liked white cotton friz. The owner just sat there watching and didn’t even offer to help.

Could not be more in love with this salon. It is a quaint and lovely hair salon. I was very lucky to have had Bri do my hair. She did full highlights toner a glaze and style. The color came out beautiful. She is a doll and the other stylists were just as sweet and well versed in dealing with different types of hair between men and women including young and elderly women. I generally don’t write reviews but I felt this was an absolute must. Anyone who lives in Long Island should definitely give salon visage a try I promise you won’t regret it their pricing is very reasonable. I can’t wait to book my next appt with Bri :)

DONOTGOTOTHISSALON!!! Debbie, the owner has a bad attitude, lies and has very bad customer service skills! Not only that, but I’ve had to go back a couple of times to have corrections done to my hair color and still came out unhappy! Bri, Debbies daughter, is very sweet and tried to do my hair color and cut, but still think she needs to learn how to color and cut as I walked out just as grey as when I walked in and my hair cut is uneven. I’ve never seen the place full, usually empty and I just don’t think they will be in business much longer if this is the type of service you are going to get. Warning, do not complain about any service to Debbie, she seriously needs to learn how to deal with customers and let them talk and not keep talking, she seriously has NO customer service skills. I am extremely frustrated, embarrassed about my hair and now need to go find another salon to do another correction. I found this place because of Groupon and the prices were reasonable, I guess you get what you pay for really does apply here!

I usually don’t write reviews unless I’m extremely frustrated with my service and the person providing it. I just left this salon and the person that handled my hair was Dana. I came in and the place was pretty empty with one senior clientele, I was not even greeted coming in. I got a haircut with a deep conditioning, it was a groupon deal. I paid $ 10 more for a mediocre deep conditioning because my hair was long. after the conditioning she did my haircut and while she was doing my hair she kept on telling me how not to move my head and keep it straight and how to uncross my legs all the time. Like seriously, «uncross your legs!» I’ve never had a haircut where i have to keep my legs straight just for a TRIM. then I ask for her to thin my hair a bit(thinning, you have to do it inside) she just sheared away from outside of my hair on every angle and then roughly comb it a bit and told me I’m done while the hair she just sheared was all over my body. While I’m combing more and more hair with my fingers, I asked, are you going to blow it dry? She said NO it doesn’t come with it. Who gives a shampoo then haircut without drying it??? I am shaking my head and was really disappointed with this salon. Went to my car and continued brushing away my sheared hair. I looked like I left in the middle of the service my hair being so wet and still dripping from back of my shirt! They are very inexperienced who seems to just got out of beauty school. For a very simple service they can’t seem to handle it professionally. My service was extremely rough and very unprofessional and I was treated that way. After the service was done, her question to me was«do you feel better?» just wow. This salon… NEVERAGAIN.

I have been a lifelong resident of Long Island and I have been to all the big name salons over the years. I have thick hair that is hard to manage with its uneven curl. I have kept it short much to my disappointment and frustration. I started coloring with Debbie and soon after tried her keratin treatment. The results are greater than my wildest dreams. Not only have I been able to grow my hair into long luxurious styles. but Debbie has transformed my color into a graphic masterpiece of shsdes of auburn and red which complement my skin tone beautifully. I get raves everywhere I go. Debbie and her staff are extremely professional and I am so happy to have finally found Salon Visage. Debbie is a master hair stylist. I highly recommend her and her team at Salon Visage.

I was absolutely thrilled with this place. About a year ago, I decided to go for a big change with my hair(both cut– and color-wise). So I checked around Groupon for some deals to try and find a place that I liked and a stylist who would understand what I wanted. The first place I went to gave me the wrong color(though in hindsight, it definitely ended up growing on me, no pun intended: p) though the cut was okay. Main problem there was they didn’t speak English well enough for me to convey exactly what I wanted. A few months later, after my roots had gotten unbearable, another place gave me an okay color(though not exactly what I wanted) but the cut was terrible. The girl who gave me the color was super nice and seemed to understand what I wanted, though didn’t end up giving it to me. Maybe the communication on my end was off for the stylist, but the cut was not what I wanted either(ended up too short in the back and not short enough in the front – go figure). Fast forward to the beginning of this month(Oct. 2nd I think even). I was hesitant about coming to ANOTHER place with a groupon that would be rude to me(like the desk people were at the 2nd place I mentioned) when all I wanted was to find a place that I could basically call home. I wanted to find a salon, colorist, and stylist who would take the time to understand what I wanted, talk with me about the options I had, and work with me to give me what I’m paying for. Salon Visage is now that place. And Bri is that person. It’s a small-ish, cute studio(though I heard they’re planning on renovating soon… hopefully not when I’ll need to come back!!!) and everyone there seemed friendly and open. It wasn’t like those posh-holier-than-thou places where non-regulars feel completely out of place. From the very first moment I came in, through telling her I had a Groupon, through my blabbering mouth talking about everything and worrying that I was offending her while just trying to convey how earnestly I really just wanted to find a place that I could go back to every few months – through all of this, she was patient, entertaining, sweet, and put me completely at ease. We spoke about what I wanted for my color, how other places just«yes“ed me, and she even took the time to show me the different color options I had. Afterwards(and during, to be completely honest… I was very talkative), we spoke about how exactly I wanted my hair to fall, and what would be the best choice for me to get my desired look(and how it would affect the color). She modified decisions based on my answers and really showed her expertise well, without even seeming to intend to. She even gave me some ideas for lifting the front part of my hair(ask her about some when you come in!). Conclusion: Bri did a fantastic job with my color, cut, and making me feel like I had a partner and wasn’t just hiring someone. 10⁄10 will absolutely return. Side note: I did learn here that I’m not the biggest fan of those colander-looking sit down hair dryers. But Bri took care of me completely and we figured out a great alternative. My only regret is that my math is terrible so I think I may have undertipped her. If she sees this, I hope she both knows how much I appreciated her and that I will definitely make it up to her next time I stop in! Thrilled to have a Hair-Home!!! :)

I was absolutely desperate for a haircut with no time in my schedule. I called on saturday around 4:30 and they said they could take me at 5. My first impression of the salon was-eh nothing special. Not crowded, but not empty. I was lucky to have Helen cut my hair. She was neat, quick, professional, and personable. I would definitely come back for the convenience. I enjoy going to a salon that doesn’t look like a mob scene. Nothing that makes the place really stand out. Also, its the last store(west side) in the shopping center with 16 Handles. Couldn’t find it at first.

On the way to a wedding, my daughters hair pins fell out. I needed to find a salon, or place to get the colored ones I needed for my daughter’s red/gold hair. I stepped into this salon, and even though someone was working on a client, they sensed my need for help. The lady was kind enough to search for some pins, and found the colors I needed. I found her to be pleasant, helpful, and kind. I told her that for her kindness,(and she didnt charge me anything for the pins) I was going to write a review for her. Please go and give this place a try. They seemed so nice, and the place was clean and pleasant!
