What a fantastic toy store. Super friendly owner that is the epitome of excellent customer service; you can tell he loves what he does. He not only demonstrated a bunch of toys, the toys were open and available so that visitors could try for themselves. I had absolutely no intention of buying any toys, but his magic and charm was irresistible. If you’re in Jerome don’t miss this gem; the kid in you will be happy you did.

Stumbling upon Mr. B’s Toys was a HUGE treat while in Jerome! The owner is a self-described«permanent 12 year old» and although the size of the shop is teeny tiny, the toys are very old school and it’s SOSO much cooler than a regular toy store. My kids commented that it was the best toy store they had ever been to! And these kids are no strangers to insane toy stores — we’ve visited FAO in NYC on multiple occasions. My 7 year old even said, «I’ve never been to a toy store that had toys lying all over the place that you could actually use, it was awesome!!» While there, Mr. B showed the kids multiple magic tricks, let them play with the toys around and made it pure kid fun! We ended up purchasing a few small items — many of them we already owned since we are into old school kind of toys. If you happen on Mr. B’s Toys, definitely try out the Stomp Rocket… it’s one of my kids all time faves! Not such a fan of the shock lighter though — UGH… getting shocked is the worst! :-) And saving the best for last — I gave him a $ 10 bill for $ 8 worth of merchandise, and I got a $ 2 bill in return!

Mr. B’s toys is a small shop in a small town… and they have a very small toy collection. But each and every toy in the shop is something which Mr B(Guy Barbera) seems to have personally played with and I think he still enjoys playing with :-) He is part magician, part entertainer and 100% fun… Just visit his shop even if you don’t want to buy anything, just for a few laughs… He even advised a parent of a 3 year old against buying a kite. He said he has a 5 year old and they enjoy the kites a lot for 6 seconds and then proceed to enact the whole scene… Thanks Mr B :-)
