This place looks like it’s from down under on the outside. but this place is far from bein down under. Saturday night is poppin. Live band. Full bar. Huge menu. We had about a 45 minute wait, but it was worth it. The staff was so friendly and on top of their A game. They were packed tonight and short staffed, but our waitress Kassie never once made us aware of that. That says so much about a waitress. She was smiling, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. Very patient as well. My boyfriend got the beer battered cod and said it was really good. I got the fish tacos with the blackened grouper and about went to heaven. They were amazing!!! I advise anyone to get these menu items. Along with the calamari. So so good. Best part, dessert round comes with an option of caramelized bacon!!! Must try on their brownie dessert. I will be back for sure and requesting Kassie just because she gave such great customer service. The staff all around tops all the other places I’ve been around this area in service. Please try out this place!

Stopped in for lunch with a friend on a Thursday afternoon. I ordered the turkey club and fries, my friend had the deck bread and a chef salad. Service was efficient and food arrived quickly. The turkey club was very good on thick, grilled homemade bread. The fries were deeelish! Didn’t need ketchup or anything! My friend’s salad was huge. She took half of it home. Will definitely be back. Just wish they were open on Sunday.

We loved being able to communicate via Unilocal. We booked a reservation for 8 and another for 6 since the Unilocal app wouldn’t allow reservation for 14. We added a note that we were all together. The restaurant quickly sent a note back to us confirming 14 people total and that we would all be seated together. Very progressive communication for a rural area restaurant and a sign that some owners must be getting more Gen X or Gen Y friendly(understanding technology). Good selection of a beers and drink specials. Seafood choices were good and I recommend the calamari for an appetizer. Steak special was cooked oddly(medium rare on half of steak, well on other half of steak) but still tasted great. Service was friendly and attentive. They did a great job with our kids bouncing around a little. Plenty of parking and you sort of just follow the car ahead of you or make your own line of cars. Check it out, I think you’ll be impressed with this choice and all it has to offer in this rural area.

Been here twice. Great food & atmosphere. They messed up on my order the first time going but did a great job to make up for it. The staff is very friendly and the menu has a good selection.

I LOVED my food. I had the house salad with tuna(rare) and the wasabi aioli. Probably one of my favorite salads I’ve ever had. The décor is really nice and super cute. The only reason it’s 4 instead of 5 stars is because, my family wasn’t very impressed by their meals. But definitely recommend the salad I got. Delicious. And their fries are yummy, too!

I kept driving by this place on my motorcycle and didn’t even know it existed till 1 day I Unilocal searched the area for places to eat. Doesn’t look like much on the outside so don’t let that fool ya. Once inside you’re greated by friendly staff and seated promptly. The décor inside reminds me of most seafood places in Florida and is very entertaining. I ordered the grouper pan seared. When it came to the table it was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the grouper and the homemade hush puppies and coleslaw. Not sure how to describe the coleslaw as it had a vinegar type base vs a milky type. The hush puppies had some good flavor as well and definitely tastes different than others around. The wife had a chicken ceaser wrap. They grilled it and she said it would be better cold vs hot.(Didn’t mention grilled in menu, at least can’t remember if it did) Was still good but wished it was cold. Great experience and will go again when in the area.

I got a recommendation from a friend to try this place while visiting the area. We(my wife and I0 were seated on the lanai, which is relatively new. The place itself is pretty junkie looking on the outside, but it is surprisingly decent on the inside. Our service was by a young lady who did a decent job. I ordered the nachos to start with. They were pretty decent and fresh tasting. We got ½ and order and it was plenty for the two of us as an appetizer! For dinner I had crab cakes. The plate came and everything(fries etc.) all looked burned to me. They didn’t really taste burned. The crab cakes were pretty decent. They weren’t amazing, but they certainly weren’t terrible. They were quite edible. The fries were lousy, and tasted burned. The prices were a bit high for a place like this. If I were visiting the area again, I’d probably pass on going to this place. There seemed to be a few nicer places in the area I’d rather try. It’s just ok.

The Deck is one of our«fun spots.» The staff is very friendly and we are looking forward to trying the new menu Items. The tuna is great and the Southwest flatbread had a great flavor. They are also known for their Sangria. You can always find it by looking for the packed parking lot.

Deck Down Under is a cool little spot in the middle of no where on US-12. The décor in the place is great; has kind of a Joe’s Crab Shack feel, only better. We visited on a Saturday Night and the place was hopping. Luckily they take reservations. The waitstaff and service was great. They serve both Pepsi and Coke products, and our drinks stayed full all night, which always makes me happy. As far as the food goes, it was decently priced so we did a lot of sampling. For appetizers, we ordered the Deck Dots(bread bites) and Crab Cakes, which we so-so. For entrées I played it safe with the fish tacos, which, to be honest I’d never had fish tacos before, and I wasn’t that impressed. I ordered one fried, one blackened. Presentation left some to be desired, but they were edible. They were served with fries and I ordered a cup of clam chowder. The chowder was pretty good. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp, which she was really happy with based on the size of the shrimp. My favorite thing was actually the fried clams that my Pastor ordered. They were very meaty and had great flavor. Over all, I would definitely go back. I would most likely order something different; But it’s a cool enough place. They also have weekly specials, but they seemed a bit pricey. In summary: Cool place. Great service. Decent affordable food.

I don’t know about the food as the service pissed me off before we even sat down. Our group went to the bar and found seats but were immediately told we couldn’t sit there and had to see the hostess and get on the list to sit there. After ten minutes it was determined it was ok for us to sit at the table… From there we tried to order a pitcher of Leinenkugels but were told they only did pitchers of domestics(???) I flagged down the manager and he laughed at me for asking and said the price would be too high and that they were a reaturaunt and not a bar, which may be true except for ½ the square footage of the building is a bar… Generally a waste of time to come in. I have never been to a place that couldn’t pour pitchers of some tap beers but not others… I expected to pay a higher price but being rudely told no and laughed at put a sour taste for this joint. Crappy staff attitude but with few other choices your stuck with this place.

Don’t order the burger… terrible quality of beef or whatever that was. Filled with fat and tasted strange. Fresh cut fries way over seasoned with salt at least a month’s supply of sodium. Known for seafood so I made the mistake and ordered a burger.
