Scenic Ridge is a part of Bauman Orchards. They purchased the land in the 90s and it consists of 84 acres of fruit trees, strawberries, grapes, sweet corn and misc vegetables. They have 12 varieties of apples you can pick in the fall and 15 peach varieties for the summer. I think you can pick the berries as well-not sure. It’s open from June through October and October 11th, the day I visited, was apparently the last day one could venture out and pick their own apples. The storefront doesn’t have that much to offer for I think its sole purpose is the land and the trees. The Rittman, OH location is the«retail farm» and is open all year long. This is where you’ll find more local goods like eggs and meat. As you can imagine there are plenty of prepicked apples and fresh cider at Scenic. So, so good. A few other misc. things to buy include jars of jelly and preserves, but not from Ohio. If you venture to this farm your sole purpose is to get apples and fresh cider. A small barn contained a hale bale maze which was proceeded by a caged petting zoo: a bunny, two chickens, two goats and two sheep. Cute addition for the kids. Out front of the storefront were pumpkins and gourds. Tis the season. Not a destination but if you’re nearby or out taking in fall foliage stop by for some of the freshest apples and cider in central Ohio.
