I have nothing but love for Brewshot! As other reviewers already mentioned, this is a great place to get work done or catch up with friends. Great ambiance. There’s always space to sit down, pop open a laptop or book, grab some coffee or tea with a savory pastry or sweet danish. I am always happy to spend time in Brewshot. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Shout out to Kasper — who always greets me with a smile and on point caffeine recommendations. The peppermint-almond milk-honey tea was amazing!

Great hidden gem in Jersey City. It’s peaceful and the coffee is excellent I come here whenever I need to take a break from the office grind. I usually like to get a cappuccino with the Double Chocolate & Walnut biscotti. It’s a nice one-two combo to perk up the PM haze. There is some street parking available but watch where you park, you don’t want the boot. It’s 2hr parking from 8am to 7pm. @FitWineSnob PS. There’s free WiFi

Brewshot is a fantastic café, probably my favorite in Jersey City. The interior is just beautiful with high ceilings and tall windows that flood the café with light. The light-colored wooden beams and earth tone accents create a natural and elegant look. The lattes I’ve had have been very good, and they have a larger selection of teas than most cafes. I once had one of their pastries and it was delicious as well. There is wifi and plenty of space for studying or catching up with friends. The staff is very friendly. Prices are slightly on the high side but reasonable considering you can sit for as long as you wish, at least when I’ve been there. Definitely a great addition to Jersey City and I hope the café continues to thrive.

Tucked in one of many residential corners of Jersey City, Brewshot offers an ass-kicking espresso with friendly chatter. Although the café itself is reminiscent of a cubicle office, including JC residents completely enthralled in their work, it is still a cool spot with a focus on coffee. The barista/cashier was super cool, informed us of music events that take place on Saturdays and how the café wants to reach out to JC artists as they are currently looking for work to adorn the café with. This really interested my date, who’s an artist, but it piqued my interest too. My latte was great, the conversation about art, music and travel was greater… and I would definitely come back to this café! Although the place isn’t too conducive to having conversation with people super focused on their laptops/tablets/phones/or books but I would return for a caffeine jolt and some sort of writing to do.

Great place to get work done. I’ve been a bunch of times and will continue going! The clean, open space and friendly vibe are my favorite things about this place. Love how much natural light comes in, never crowded mid day, and everyone who works there is super chill and very nice. If you’re working remotely it’s a reliable place to go be productive.(Solid Internet, good number of outlets, clean bathroom.) Drinks/food: Very good soy mocha. Good pumpkin soy latte but not as flavorful– I do like that it wasn’t too sweet tho. Decent snacks but I wouldn’t come hungry.(DO try the savory pastries, biscotti, and cookies — all really good)

–iced coffee tastes a bit funny –Obnoxious credit card surcharge — won’t go back unless wife is desperate for caffeine –I mean, I understand a credit card surcharge in low margin high volume/dollar businesses(like buying a car) — but honestly, in a high margin coffee joint(where the marginal cost of a cup of coffee is likely around $ 0.50 or less) — that’s a joke that I’ve never seen before

Stopped in today and ordered a large black coffee. My girlfriend ordered a cold brew. The barista handed my coffee to someone else, and the other barista made me the wrong drink in the meantime. I said no, I wanted a regular drip coffee, then she realized she gave it to another customer. So she goes and grabs it from the dude and just poured it into a new cup and handed it to me. Are you kidding? I told her I wasn’t drinking the same coffee that had been given to someone else and had been sitting with him for a solid minute. Seriously, you guys can’t spring for a fresh cup? She gave me attitude and slammed a new cup down on the counter. My gf’s cold brew was so sour that she threw it out. Never going to Brewshot again.

This place is such a little gem, I’m almost reluctant to let others in on my little secret spot! The place is bright with lots of windows, high ceilings with high-top seating around the windows and communal tables in the center. My usual is a soy latte and they make it perfectly — they don’t over roast their beans and they froth the soy till its deliciously creamy. I’ve eaten their small items — last time i had some type of croquette. But i did notice a new fridge by the door with food in it and the guy told me they have just started having sandwiches — which I will definitely try next time. I really like this place. Its so chill and pretty. Just hope its not ruined by laptop campers :(

AVOIDTHISPLACE! I ran out of coffee beans and came here in a pinch. They charged me $ 11 for a half pound of beans. What!?! Of all the time I’ve lived in NYC and bought coffee beans, I was never charged such a premium. I fully support local shops but not when they are out to rip you off!

I’ve heard a lot of buzz and recommendations about this place, so I was excited to finally stop by today and check it out. Here’s a quick rundown of my experience: 1) For midday on a Saturday, there was lots of available nearby parking.(This is a very important factor in Jersey City.) 2) The wooden décor is modern and clean cut, feels very spacious with their use of mirrors and windows, and lots of seating. Ambiance is quiet and calm, but very welcoming and friendly. 3) Diverse choice of beverages and food items.(I had the Americano, and chicken cutlet, rabe, and mozz breadcup by Grandma Downtown. Both delicious!). 4) And the service was great. The ladies behind the counter were knowledgeable, very friendly, and brought out my order in a timely service. This place definitely lived up to its rep, and hope to return very soon.

Most important to me in a café are the ambiance and the coffee. In the former, Brewshot takes the crown. I love the meticulously-crafted design, the wood-themed furnishing, the high ceilings & large windows, and the list goes on. The ease of finding parking within 2−3min walk from the café is just gravy on top. On the coffee, I find that it lacks consistency; I have not had the pleasure of experiencing a good latte or cappuccino during my two visits. However, I’ve been told that the watery cappuccino I had was not the norm. All in all, while this place has a lot of potential, I have yet to see it delivered.

Love this place. Stopped by on a Sunday morning for an Americano and expected it to be crowded, but the place had a relaxing ambiance and plenty of open seats. Décor in the café is simple yet beautiful, the neighborhood outside is quite nice and new as well. Service is straightforward and not fussy, drinks were on point and authentic. And may I add one last note: the seats are actually comfortable. I’ve been trying a lot of coffee shops in the JC area and I’ve noticed that many of their chairs(whether it be at the counter or tables) are at awkward heights or just plain uncomfortable, but the seating in Brewshot is perfect.

Latte latte latte! I love brewshot. The coffee is strong and smooth and brewed fresh! Lattes are my favorite though! It’s a little pricey, but worth it. They are currently offering pastries half off during 3−7p for happy hour. The employees and friendly, warm and helpful in deciding what to order without any pressure. The place itself has a good amount of seating compared to other coffee shops. Great place to work from home or get some studying done.

Stopped by here after a carb coma at the brownstone pancake factory down the block. I had a passion fruit iced green tea and it was good. I hung out for a bit and read a magazine before heading out to look at some beatiful brownstones on the way to my car. The service was great and the space is pretty modern/trendy/neo/punk meets a library kinda vibe. I def will come back to try the coffee.

Brewshot offers a really diverse menu of coffee beans and organic teas. The interior is very simple yet edgy with it’s mainly light tanned wood theme. If you’re looking for something beyond your local coffee experience then this place is definitely worth checking out. I wouldn’t stop here in the morning for my usual cup of joe but when I’m in the mood for a specialty cup with a shot of espresso I’ll definitely be stopping by here again.

Heard about this place a few weeks ago(late) but always forget to try it cause its so tucked away in Paulus Hook. I don’t go to Biergarten, which is how people always reference it, so it was pure luck that I stumbled upon it today… and while they were open at that! My thoughts walking in were«this place looks pretty cool.» and then«this place feels pretty cold». So yea, nice décor and everything but the vibe definitely left a lot to be desired. It kinda had a Starbucks-y vibe but without the familiarity. There were a couple of loners on laptops and a small family inside. The barista wasn’t very engaging and seemed to take a little too long to do everything. From ringing people up, to acknowledging us, to making the drinks, too long. Being that there weren’t too many people in at the time, I would have expected more. It’s cool that the coffee is organic(but what isn’t these days). We got a Macchiato and a Pumpkin Pie Latte(I did NOT order the Pumpkin Pie Latte). The Macchiato was good. It was strong but not overly bitter. I didn’t try the Pumpkin Pie Latte(cause why would I?), but was told that it was pretty good. I’m not sure how much of an effort I’ll make to come back here. There are so many other go-to coffee spots, I just felt that this 1 was nothing special. I’d go to Dames, Two Aprons, Sam A.M., possibly even Cocoa Bakery(which I will be reviewing shortly), around the corner; all before heading back here. #sorrynotsorry All in all, the coffee was pretty good, the vibe was cold, and the service was nothing special.
