I have called Castro’s twice — once to repair an oven in Jersey City and just recently for a freezer repair in Weehawken. I have been more than satisfied with the service I received both times. Henry is reliable, courteous and knowledgable and I would not hesitate to call him again for any appliance repair. They are prompt and reasonably priced as well.

I have called Castro every time my major appliances are on the fritz. Usually Henry shows up. He’s a very honest and personable professional. Knows his stuff. I would highly recommend their services. Their prices are fair and reasonable.

Full disclosure — I don’t know what these guys charge, because they were sent to my apartment by my landlord. So, I cannot comment on the price. That being said, the gentleman who came to service my broken washer/dryer was a true professional. He was very prompt, which is NEVER the case with these types of services. He was also very knowledgeable about my unit, and knew exactly what was wrong with it, and what needed to be done to fix it. This is a Jersey City family owned business as well. They seem to be super honest, and I would 100% call them first when I need repairs.

My dryer’s belt broke a few months back and I reached out to Castro’s considering that they were local.
Impressed with the service and the regular feedback on the process because the belt wasn’t easily available.
Dryer has been working great without any issues.
Note that they charge a $ 100 fee if called in to inspect and provide an estimate; it is adjuted in the bill if you decide to do the job. Thought that that fee essentially handcuffed me to their service. But then, the repair cost for major appliances easily runs to a few hundred dollars and I think this is standard practice. More importantly, I am confident that they do a great job.
I now have an issue with my washer and intend to use their services.
Highly recommend them!
