**PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION!**
I had been going to Dr. Chang for about 2 years before they first noticed a fibroid. I was coming back every few months for them to monitor it and when they found no changes I only had to go once a year for my annual. During the next annual I had another ultra sound done for them to learn that another fibroid had appeared. They immediately said that I needed to have a Myomectomy and just scheduled it w/​o providing me any information. I began to do my research to find out that a Myomectomy is a major surgery similar to a cesarean where they have to make a bikini-​line incision. You will be in the hospital for 2 full days with a recovery of 4 – 6 weeks. I then called back and the nurse that scheduled the procedure was extremely rude and just matter of fact as if it’s no big deal. When were you planning to tell me that the doctor had to cut me and that I would be out of work. They weren’t! I then decided to get a second opinion and found a doctor in Manhattan that specializes in fibroids. They had me do a Pelvic MRI. I also request for a copy of my records from Dr. Chang and all they did was email me a letter with what he found. Once my Pelvic MRI came back it was determined that surgery was not needed. I did not have to be out of work for any period of time and had I just listened to this Doctor’s office I would have a cut in my bikini area and had been out of work for a least 4 weeks.
I am very disappointed with this office and their practices and will NEVER go back! IF THEY EVER SUGGEST SURGERY, PLEASE BE SURE TO GET A SECOND OPINION!!!

I went for Prenatal care. People who are responsible for scheduling visits/​billing are prompt. Dr. Chang is also accommodating and seemed knowledgeable during my two visits.
What my concern is you have to be careful when looking into billing. As I had questions about billing, I had called into insurance and they recommended to speak with the provider. When we (insurance, nurse and myself) were on the phone discussing the claims, one of the nurse started yelling and insisted that I received the follow-​up call that tells me the results which I never did. I cannot rate her nursing proficiency but I can tell you that this is NOT how you want to be treated (yelling and hang up the phone). Probably she was extremely busy being one or two nurses during that visit and was not happy to be on the phone.
I have been well-​treated under Dr. Chang’s care medically and I am thankful for that. *****On the other hand, because of how I was treated by the nurse on the phone, I am rating the overall experience as «It’s okay».********* Billing is a definitely big part of care when you become pregnant, so you would want to go to the clinic that can be reasonable with you. I understand medical industry is not service oriented business, but in whatever situation, I personally do not want to be treated by so called «raising voice or yelling» nurse. This is just based on my personal encounter with one of nurse and I did have pleasant experience with the other nurse during my first visit.
