Decent spot to get your comic book fix. Very small but decent selection of new comics and graphic novels, some toys. They’re sometimes short on boards for comics which makes me cringe but overall good.

So happy to have a neighborhood comic shop. I like to roll by every few months and see what’s new or what the dudes recommend.

Much smaller than I expected, but they managed to pack a good amount of comics and assorted items in. I came in to pick up the trade paperback for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and they had it in stock at a good price. Staff were very friendly and made some further recommendations to me as I told them that I’m pretty new to comics.

Amazing place. The fjb comic guys are very cool. Prices are fair, plus you get your hands on one or two comics for free. My little brother also enjoys this place.

I visit this store from time to time. It has comics and games. I definitely enjoy the conversations and customer service. Today I came in to look for some Harley Quinn comics for my girlfriend’s Christmas gift. I was helped thoroughly; they physically looked for the comics I asked for and used the computer as we’ll. I left with recommendations for a new series to read(for myself) and will definitely go back to get more comics here. Thanks guys, your number one Nightwing fan, Sean.

I love this place. The staff is great, and I always get wrapped up in awesome conversation with them. They have an awesome selection, but more importantly: if you can’t think of anything new to read, they always have pretty spot on recommendations based on books that you’ve enjoyed in the past. I grew up next to a comic book store with a similar vibe, so it’s awesome to have a shop like this near my apartment/workplace. check this place out for sure(especially if you read trade paper backs — because they have a TON).

I went here yesterday for the first time ever. I love comic book stores. This place is sweet. It’s really small and cramped, but at least it exists. The staff was really nice and had some great suggestions for me. However, I’ve been out of the comic book game a long time, and was interested in buying some ish from the 90s. Most everything they have in stock is new and modern, which is probably what the majority of readers are looking for in 2013. Call me an old man, but I wish they had a section of classics. I need to bone up on Marvel and DC history before I dive into today’s sh*t

I came here during a lunch break once just to check it out. I had always thought that Jersey City didn’t have a comic book shop and was surprised by the notion. I was also wrong about that! Place is small, but it’s packed with awesomeness. I had actually heard of this place waaaaay before coming here… it was a location to pick up Comic Con passes a few years prior and my friend wanted me to go with her to pick them up, but I couldn’t. But I digress. If you love comics and live in the area, there’s no reason not to come here. It’s totally chill and if you DON’T read comic books, but would like to, the staff is ridiculously knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction if you tell them 3 things about yourself. Do you like zombies, action and drama? Walking Dead. Etc., etc., etc. I wanted a random graphic novel to read, they recommended one I had grabbed haphazardly and I finished it in a day. I swear, every book in there has been read by at least one employee. The only way this place couldn’t be of use to a new/avid comic book/graphic novel reader is if that new/avid reader is completely blind. But then there’s audio books. Can’t stop the FJB! Kinda like an FMJ.

This place is a great local comic and video game store. It’s small but densely stocked, and the guy who runs it is great. It’s the perfect place to stop in and peruse new and used video games. There’s no sign out front, but the comics plastered on the front make it not too hard to find.

One word: Awshum! Comic book stores have come and gone throughout the years in JC(including the once famous and now defunct, Kim’s Video). FJB Comics, which is owned and operated by Floyd since its opening barely 2 yrs. ago, is the only comic book store left. in JC. But w/FJB’s varied selection complimented with knowledgeable and friendly service„ who needs another one? This is based on my repeated visits and truth be told, I TRY to limit my visits since I always wind up buying something or getting hooked on some new series. PROS: * Floyd, who’s usually at the counter 90% of the time, is not only extremely knowledgeable in anything related to comics, movies, manga, animé and video games, but he’s also very cool guy to chat with(certainly not your typical creepy comic book guy). Indeed, he has stayed open late many times to accomodate the people still in his stores and those who are coming in late from work. * Although his floor space is limited, he has a varied selection of comis, books, tradepaperbacks and hardbounds. If you can’t find something, he’ll gladly order it for you. * Good selection of new and used videogames(xbox 360, ps3, wii, etc) and he won’t rip you off on trade-ins. * Feel free to just browse and hangout. Quite often, you’ll see kids playing games on xbox 360’s and PCs which he provides. * He’s aware of his place in the community. He’ll abide by parents’ wishes by reminding kids when to go home and even volunteers at the local Boys & Girls Club. CONS: * Not much complaints really, except that since the store is somewhat small, it can get crowded at times. * He recently moved from a prior location due to fire, but he still doesn’t have a sign outside, making it easy to miss the store. You can also visit: or better yet, just swing by!
