did they change management? i used to like this place, for the usual standard deli sandwich. but they’ve been messing up my order more frequently lately. giving me russian dressing instead of italian dressing. blahhh and they need to trim their grilled chicken cutlets better. nothing worse than biting into rubbery chicken ligaments

Good spot to grab just a couple of items that you need. They have a good salad bar at lunch and have a nice deli area if you want a sandwich. It is pretty overpriced though. I went there this morning and got one scrambled egg and they wrang it up as $ 2.99… for one scrambled egg. no bread or anything. I won’t order that again. They also have no gluten free bread options. They need to work on their pricing a bit for sure at breakfast and lunch.

Overpriced. Average quality. Panini is expensive and does does not include chips/salsa like most local places do. Lunch/dinner entrees have too much over-seasoned/sweet sauce. Soup offerings do not seem homemade, or use leftover vegetables from previous day. At least the coffee is strong and fresh in the mornings, and varied selection of snacks and emergency groceries available. SALADTIP: DON’T ask for the«ceasar with chicken». If you order as a regular salad and pick toppings, you get more and it is cheaper!

I came here once around lunch time and got a mixed salad and a side of pasta(was craving something warm). I’ve also tried their salad and it’s pretty good! I heard they have Kale chips as well. I know someone who got salmon(I believe) with 2 sides — he really liked it and surprised actually. Some folks say there’s a cheaper and better place across the street — Seattle Coffee Roasters. Theirs is good too.

The Fresca Deli is where lazy people go to do groceries. They’ve got a little bit of everything from fresh produce to deli meats to bread and Asian and Indian goods. Currently, there is nothing else around the Newport area. And when you need to stock up on food, it is 96 degrees outside, and the nearest real grocery store is just too far to travel without a vehicle, the Fresca Deli is where it is at. They even have a hot foods section, sandwich station, and dessert bar in the front. So if you are too lazy to cook, you can get some grub. Everything is expensive here. My grapes cost $ 6, chocolate chip cookies $ 4 and blueberries $ 2. The average price of something would be about 2 – 3 times as much as a normal grocery store. But convenience is a small price to pay for, especially when it requires too much effort to walk to Shop Rite or A&P in this heat wave. I can’t wait for Morton Williams to open up. Then I can shop there and spend my whole paycheck just footsteps away from my apartment building.
